Should we have an Episode about Sexism?

we already had one on racism so why not.also I would love to see how the writers would handle it with The FIMverse because It seems to be controlled by females.

The risk of making it come across as Straw Feminist. It’s possible to do well, just by making the sexism more on the subtle side, but difficult.

The only thing I can see happening like this is a “Girls are told they can’t play sports but then utterly owns when she joins, possibly undercover as a guy.” episode.  
I think it’d be funny if it were a reverse sexist episode due to the perceived ratio of males to females. Spike or Big mac could be the focus(and victim) of the episode. Then the next episode happens without even acknowledging the last.

Absolutely not, the last thing we need is something to encourage the morons who seem to think that Equestria is some sort of sexist fascist state with a lack of gender equality.

Frankly I think a whole episode dedicated to the topic might seem a bit much, so if it’s done it would hopefully just be a subtle backdrop and not a Dear Princess Cel-… you know what I mean.

Equestria isn’t a utopia. They go out of their way to show that living there isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

Honestly, if there is a subject matter that would be handled worse than that, I can’t think of any.

Yeah yeah, I know that, I have even said that myself before, but I consider gender inequality out of the question. Maybe some ponies or activist groups in Equestria look down on a particular gender(both genders, not just male), but politically or “officially” ? NO.
 
EDIT - Another way of saying it is this, Equestria is not “sunshine and rainbows” like you said, but politically it seems mostly benevolent, and widespread or encouraged gender inequality would contradict that. Hopefully you get what I am saying here, I am not always the best at finding the right words for things.
 
The fact that the princesses would not allow it is my first and hopefully last argument against it.

I think there should be, perhaps not something extremely outright and blunt, though. Kind of like how they did Bridle Gossip. Sexism is a problem in our society, and should be addressed in a manner girls will understand, perhaps make it the older audiences understand it more, too, with well written story.

You mean like a “Girl Power” episode? Eh, those are pretty tired already. Plus, the cast is composed mostly of girls, it’s kind of redundant.

This, but hopefully we simply never get an episode that touches on sexism. I can’t think of a fair way it could be handled honestly, even if it is made subtle it would still plaster many implications on Equestria and it’s society.

I think that Equestria is Like Our Morden Society as in Our world 60% Is ruled By Men and 40% Is by Women( You would be a fool if you think that we already have equality, Some still dont believe in it) And the reverse for Equestria.

Definitely not. The show already shows that one should live above society’s standards. It doesn’t need anything else.
