I’m sure we all know about The Big Lebowski ponies, and that they tend to keep these to a minimum as to not disturb the flow of the show. Are you opposed to there being pop culture references? What about a celebrity voicing a one-off character?

None really. Maybe Val Kilmer, since I can’t recognize his voice oftentimes.

Or maybe Corri English.

Build commie blocks!
Pop-culture references: As long as they are in the background and not plot-integral, then I don’t mind them.

Celebrity Voicing a one-off character: ehh, you may have to give me an example, as I’m on the fence about such things

Pop culture references are fine if their subtle and don’t interfere with the flow of the show (as you said). But I’d like them to avoid making references to internet memes, I cringed when Pinkie said “Chocolate Rain” in the Season 2 premier. That meme was way old even when that episode aired.

Celebrity voices: I’d like to see my favorite VA: J.K. Simmons do a voice. Also I think Gilbert Gottfried should voice a villain.

I’m fine with pop culture references as long as they are not too forced or annoying.

As for celebrity voices in a one off role I would like to see Christopher Lloyd voice a two-parter villain.

Define pop culture. Off the top of my head this show is packed with references such as: Star Wars, Top Gun, Benny Hill, Sherlock Holmes, Cinderella, and King Kong. I don’t know what really qualifies as pop culture though.

“Popular culture is [defined as] the entirety of ideas, perspectives, attitudes, memes, images, and other phenomena that are within the mainstream of a given culture, especially Western culture of the early to mid 20th century and the emerging global mainstream of the late 20th and early 21st century. Heavily influenced by mass media, this collection of ideas permeates the everyday lives of the society.”

And then Wonderbolts Academy happened. The entire episode was a Top Gun reference.
