I wanted to post something funny and witty like I usually do but the comments were locked cause of some drama that I don’t know what it was about.

I think people were cheering on the draining because they don’t like Sparky.

Yeah I know what you mean there, I just don’t get why they’re complaining over a baby character.

Have I complained when Stewie (family guy character) is up to no good, and as a baby? NO, I just enjoy what he does and all!

Well judging by the first couple of non deleted comments, that’s what some people were taking about. Then it got instantly derailed some other way.

I’m not too big on Sparky either, but not to the point of cheering over whatever misfortune happens to him

same, disliking a baby character has no excuses behind it besides, these baby haters straight up missed the point of what mlp, really is for.

TL;DR Sparky was used for fart jokes in some TYT episodes. The dislike really took off after the infamous episode where Misty was unfortunately caught in the blast zone of one of his toots due to him having indigestion since she already had it bad enough being bossed around by Opaline.

It’s all part of the plan. Everything Sparky does will be compared to that moment. And it’s working; Sparky farted in “The Hunt for Eggmund Bunny”, and nobody even noticed or cared.

Yeah because he farts like a few times. Oh no!

To be fair MLP as a whole isn’t known for toilet humor. But still a lot of people really overreacted to those hand full of fart jokes.

Imho that’s the problem. G4 didn’t need fart jokes to be funny. Tell Your Tale had several as well as a scene where a bunny popped onto Izzy’s crafting table.

I thought the toilet/gross-out humour was just a one-off thing but seeing it happen in several episodes was off-putting
