I share your thoughts although admittedly I only feel sour towards certain fandom things rather than the character.
Is not so much that Luna’s loved rather than it also often involved Celestia mocking in a lot of pics. Overtime it accumulates until it becomes a souring experience.
It doesn’t help Luna on the large scheme is actually not really a big deal canonically, she’s just a co ruler who rarely seems to do much to stand out. Heck, the jokes about my war against the post office are obviously an exaggeration for April Fools but an exaggeration nonetheless implies some truth behind: Luna’s hobbies in Between Dark And Dawn are notably mundane and not particularly exciting in a fictional setting whereas Celestia showing herself as an innate adventurer really got my interest. Celestia might not have a lot of focus episodes but she actually is really important, she constantly contacts Twilight and the mane 6 for missions, is often involved in the heroes’ shenanigans and a lot of the episodes’ problems and resolutions are often bound to her scheming and their successes or backfirings, she might not do much on camera but she’s actually extremely relevant ironically speaking from the shadows.

I really hate how this series ended :|

I feel that, and I’ll leave it there otherwise I’ll start ranting.

I mean ..
Just look at all those episodes back, MLP movie etc.
For me this ending was made without any idea. Lets goo, just put all bad characters vs Mane 6 and hope for the best

At least I did learn something, I now realized that G4 will never be forgotten.

Especially after G5 is going through a rocky reception with Make Your Mark and Tell Your Tale.

I liked it a bunch too.
Only minor problem I have was that Stygian wasn’t with the other pillars when they went to face Tirek. But that might be for the best, cause the poor guy would have gotten pulverized.

I don’t find anything particularly wrong that would arouse my uneasiness. I’m was crying.

Quick aside back to the LNR/SE thing, I wanted to vent a bit-
I actually feel a bit sheepish. People were starting to express frustration with the event and it’s length, and some people were being frustrated with all of the number of uploads and the poor tagging job that came with it, plus with the fact that some people were actually being burnt out from it all, and I decided to PM the admin showing this and mulling whether or not it would be a smart idea to hang it up. But then we were all pretty much told that isn’t happening, and now I feel like I’ve done something wrong, or that I’m trying to control the show or something.
(I’m fine, right?)
For the record I’m not one of those people going gung ho into this and being exhausted, I just felt like relaying the sentiment, both in a RP way and a IRL way.

I haven’t said too much about it, but I certainly count myself as one of the people who’s burnt out on this whole event. My inbox is heavily flooded when I log on in the morning from everyone who’s left comments on all of my uploads, the images being uploaded are often sparsely tagged but there’s too many of them for everyone else to pitch in and help retag them, and that’s not even mentioning all the dupes of years-old uploads, low-effort image macros, and crops of existing art and screencaps. While I’ve mostly stayed out of the forums for all this I have noticed some people who’ve been taking this competition very seriously and that does spark concern.

I can’t help but think this would have been better had it been a weekend-long event instead of a whole week, and I have to wonder if this whole thing wasn’t a deliberate attempt to increase site activity since I can’t image keeping on top of all of the spam posts has been easy for the staff.

I think I realized around Season Seven that the show probably wasn’t going to get a proper ending. This is because there wasn’t a clear throughline; no ultimate question that needed answering and no ultimate villain that needed defeating. So the show didn’t really “end”. It just sort of “stopped” after enough time had passed.

Well, I think there was a clear goal:

Twilight becoming ruler, succeeding Celestia.

Wasn’t this outlined as the end goal by Lauren Faust?

The “Jazz Has No Ears” meme was fine while it lasted but… I kinda want Jazz to have her ears I the next set of MYM. For at least one scene!

I’m not sure exactly where she had said that (think it was DeviantArt) but considering the tagline is “Friendship is Magic,” and the pitch bible had Twilight’s description be something like “with the right guidance, she could be the most magical pony in all of Equestria,” it was basically saying it.

Twilight also in core concept seems to be the most dynamic character of the Six.

In the sense that she’s had the most changes, progress and development, yeah. From the first episode she is established as the main, central character.

Since her growth occured in spurs (during season openers and finales and such) one could think what DerpyFast does that the show meandered aimlessly in it’s “odd times” (filler and episodes not featuring Twilight centrally).

I personally find it a bit annoying when people make G4 hippogriff OCs and then just kinda copypaste silverstream’s design. it’s even more annoying when it’s intended to be an adult character why does everyone forget that silverstream for most of her appearance doesn’t have a full-grown hippogriff body until her appearance in the last problem.
