Welcome to the pony life discussion where you can talk about the new my little pony show: Pony Life. Show first airs: Sept. 24, 2021.

Personally I’m not too excited about it, but I shouldn’t judge a book by the cover.

Couldn’t help but notice only Twilight Sparkle has her cutie mark. Other mane 6 are missing theirs.

Surprising, considering the other images show them with their cutie marks. If the other images didn’t show their cutie marks, I would have thought they’re unfinished.  

I’m also looking forward to the show, but Pony Life isn’t G5.

Didn’t even notice the other Pony Life images had all cutie marks. Perhaps they forgot to add them into this image?

It seems they haven’t yet decided on which cutie mark design to use for Twilight Sparkle.

On another note: The backgrounds for the show shown here are crazy. This worries me a little.

I prefer the purple cutie mark. Also about the backgrounds, The characters appearances are quite weird compared to Friendship is Magic. Most of the time their mouths clip into their eyes and off their head!

It makes me feel they drew the mouths separate from their bodies; I hope the animation for this series won’t be too lazy.

When I first saw the trailer, I was immediately put off by the character designs and bouncy animation like everyone else did. With that said, I do plan on checking it out whenever I get bored and there isn’t anything else to watch, though I won’t have high expectations for it.
 
Also unpopular opinion: I unironically like the song that they used for the reveal trailer, it’s really catchy and upbeat.

I’m also gonna watch it when it comes out just because who knows? Maybe it will end up being really good. We can never truly know until we watch it.

I just found out Hasbro took down the official trailer from their YouTube channel. what was the reason behind it? was it the backlash?

Hasbro has gotten backlash on other things before so I have a feeling there’s another reason behind that. It does seem strange though.

Perhaps it was because the song in the background kept saying “good as hell” XD

Something else that seems kinda weird is that based on what we have seen about pony life, it seems like the creators are getting lazy with the animation and rushing but why would it then take 2 years for it to release?

It isn’t lazy, just derivative of other cartoons of the era.

Well I guess it’s more like one and a half years til release.

Most cartoons don’t have that much overlap which is why I feel like it’s rushed.

Well keep in mind that it is a trailer and some of the times, it isn’t always indicative of what the final product is so maybe by the time the show premieres, stuff may be polished.
