Naming Fluttershy's Parents, Trixie's Mom, and the Sphinx

The Sphinx’s name is just The Sphinx.

I'm all for Mrs. Shy being named Posey Shy, and Trixie's mom being named Dandy Lion. For the Sphinx I propose Meowpatra.

I only came here to name the sphinx as I have two names for her. Giza II (Like the Great Sphinx of Giza) or Shepsut (like Hatshepsut)

I only got one suggestion so I'll just drop this here.

They're named "Mr. Shy" and "Mrs. Shy" in the credits, just like how Twilight Velvet and Night Light were named "Mrs. Sparkle" and "Mr. Sparkle" in the credits for The Crystalling Part 2.

Yes and no. Traditionally, let's say Robert Paulson and Sandra Clark get married, they'd be referred to Mr. and Mrs. Paulson, regardless of name exchanges (some cultures even use Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paulson).

The point is, Twilight Velvet and Night Light were credited as "Mrs. & Mr. Sparkle" without "Sparkle" being part of either of their names.

Thus, it's not necessary for "Shy" to be part of the name of either "Mrs. Shy" or "Mr. Shy."

Same for the Pies and Rainbow Dash's parents, but i don't like completely haphazard naming patterns.

I can't think of a better name for Trixie's Mum other than Dandy Lion which is already in the tag's implication. plus, it'd be a little easier because of that

as for Shy's parents, same situation with Trixie's Mum, Posey Shy sounds lovely & would definitely suit her. & her dad, I can't really think of one tbh, then again, I don't really mind what he's called, it doesn't even have to end in Shy though I don't mind if it does or not.

Other than the pies, the hooffields, and the mccolts, what families have a family name that is a part of their official name?

Even the apple family, as tradition-focused as it is, doesn't retain the apple name.

Not even the Pies. the sisters just happen to have the same suffix while the parents have completely unrelated names. that's hardly a family name.
