I’m not sure if she’s an Apple, because if she was one, Applejack may have recognised her. (So I’m saving my apple-related name suggestions for ponies with a smaller chance that Applejack has met them.)

I went through a bunch of the Apples. She shares the mane design with Jonagold, who is part of the Apple family, specifically. But also bear in mind, family reunions can be very massive including people that might as well be complete strangers.
I went to a family reunion some 20 years ago that included over a hundred people. The only ones I knew were my immediate family, grandparents, and my grandmother’s brother’s immediate family. We were invited by my grandmother’s sister-in-law.
