I don’t deny that TYT also pulled in the viewers on YT - I just wonder if it underperformed the benchmarks Hasbro had for it on a much more accessible platform, and that’s one of the reasons they decided to kill it mid-production (whether that production would have consisted of 100 episodes as Doc Anubis’s source claimed, or whether it was 48 shorts and 4 specials as that one press release seemed to indicate).
Of course it underperformed the benchmarks. Capitalists always set the benchmarks too high since they expect infinite growth. Hell, Milhouse Duran, the villain of my original IP, wants to destroy all of reality and rebuild it because it’s capping capitalism.
And at least it’s remaining accessible (for the time being) - given that WBD just pulled Regular Show and Steven Universe (among others) off Max. IIRC, they’re still available via Hulu, but I mean, fuck.
That means it’s only available in the US and Japan, unless Hulu has released in Canada since the 2020 drama. I honestly do believe, though, that we’ll see the Playstation 69 before we see Hulu going near-global like Netflix. Hell, IIRC Disney decided to just release Star, the Indian Hulu, because it was more well known outside the US.
