These concept images are interesting. Sunny and Zipp seem to have come to Shadow Sea - which we from IDW comics know about the Queen of, then an episode about a dream - about cakes and sweets - then an episode about a wedding - an episode in Bridlewood - and finally Pipp visited a mysterious place with a huge gate very high up, is it Skyros? But it looks like non-ponies live there.

We’ll probably end the story of Allura pretty soon if that’s true, because now we know that her younger brother had to be saved, and that she was looking for him. It is interesting to find out that they may have come from an alternate dimension where they were snow golems.

Someone did says that the ice forms are just ice creations to tell her story, similar to how Opaline shows Misty her story with Celestia and Luna

Just watched the new episode. It was nice! And I think I recognized Allura’s new VA here in Brazil.

That was actually kinda funny. Also I’m glad we at least spent one of our innumerable Boardtrot trips on Allura.

So I decided to give that new episode a shot which is rare from me of course. And I was right on the money! I called it! Allura WAS practically doing nothing the entire time. Not even wanting or trying to take over Equestria like Opaline bothered to do as a real typical villain. All she wanted was literal peace and quiet but Izzy here kept coming to annoy her (In fairness, Allura was surprisingly merciful enough to just erase her memory). And yeah, safe to say that she’s still sour about the broken charm that need I add, wasn’t Izzy’s doing, it just broke. If she wanted to get back home, why didn’t she just ask? She instead blamed many unrelated citizens for her own predicament. Also she’s anti-social, much like that certain mare….

She’s so real for this.

In my opinion, I didn’t care much for this episode. I feels like a repeat of the G4 Cranky Doodle episode, but with a worse ending. Allura could’ve easily brainwashed Izzy into avoiding the cave, but she instead makes her forget it entirely. And she wonders why Izzy keeps coming back.

As much as I like seeing Allura again, this was a disappointment in my opinion.

YMMV, but I can’t help but find her relatively passive traits somewhat interesting.

I compared her to a G1 villain a while back, but honestly that’s not really fair; Virtually every G1 villain has a self-defeating lack for empathy for others (including their subordinates), I find the care she shows to Twitch and the mercy she initially shows to Izzy refreshing. I think Sunny’s line about giving her a second chance would’ve come across more naturally after an episode like this.

Also, if we’re picking a character as an example of someone who takes an active role in their plans, Opaline would not be my first choice. She spent 30 episodes sitting on her plot at home and only did anything once she lost her only minion.

Some new things of G5 just came out from the Tumblr g5 wiki:

“With the new Tell Your Tale episode released, several dubs have the wrong title name “Rainbow, Rollercoaster and Hopalattas”. Coincidentally, the clips leaked earlier have the bunnies saying “Hopalattas””.

“It’s likely that a future episode is intended to have this title.”

Back in late February and early March, TYT was reverted back to a bi-weekly schedule despite plans to continue with weekly releases. The lay-offs could be why the schedule was changed, and it could bolster the claim that not every episode that was ordered may be completed. Hasbro may have wanted to stretch out what episodes they had left with bi-weekly releases”
