MLP G5 Discussion and Speculation Thread

The non-Mane Six ponies in the Secret Rings toy line (that may or not be related to G5 despite belonging to Pony Life, we never actually know) are called Masquerade, Locket Key, Magic Mimics, Bright Sun, Fizzleshake and Sweet Sugar Pop. In terms of physical appearance we have:
-An unicorn with a light pink (or peach-colored?) mane, a darker pink coat and pink eyes.
-An unicorn with a red mane, a yellow coat and greyish brown eyes.
-An earth pony with an orange mane, a dark blue coat and orange eyes.
-An earth pony with a purple/lilac mane, a pink coat (a lighter, colder tone than those of the unicorn #1) and light pink eyes.
-A pegasus with a purple mane, a light blue coat and bluish green eyes.
-A pegasus with a blue/teal mane, a yellow coat (a slightly darker shade than those of the unicorn #1) and neon green eyes.
I think we may have our G5 Mane Six if the toy line is actually related to it. Oh, and the other Rainbow Dash with the red coat is… Well, Rainbow Dash! They simplified her colors.

Those are Blind Bags, Hasbro probably only bothered to do molds for the current Mane 6.

I searched a bit more and managed to identify the six ponies that may be more than just Blind Bag recolors of the current Mane 6:
-Twilight Sparkle recolor: Fizzleshake.
-Rarity recolor: Magic Mimics.
-Pinkie Pie recolor: Bright Sun.
-Applejack recolor: Locket Key.
-Rainbow Dash recolor: Sweet Sugar Pop.
-Fluttershy recolor: Masquerade.

Edit: Fizzleshake, Magic Mimics, Locket Key and Sweet Sugar Pop are renamed (and, in some cases, slightly recolored) versions of Fizzy, Mimic, Locket and Sweet Pop, from G1. As Masquerade also was a G1 pony and Bright Sun is obviously a renamed Bright Eyes, I think Hasbro wanted to bring some nostalgia for their toy line. That’s cool!

Every single upcoming movie from Paramount all got impacted by COVID-19, except My Little Pony. And so far, it’s the only movie from 2021 that still doesn’t have a cast or plot at all. So odds are, it’s at a very bad state.

I agree that the actual movie releasing 2021 is looking pretty unlikely at this point but I think we’re at the very least going to start getting G5 toys this year, which means we’ll probably know the characters and such.
