I kind of wonder if her tech is actual tech-based or magic-based

Probably both? But maybe more on the tech side since she is still getting use to magic.

The unicorns need to relearn all magic spells and Sunny will most likely see that magic is not all rainbows. There are spells that hurt other ponies and creatures. My guess is that the shadowy alicorn will show her what other things magic can do.

Does the new TYT short take place before MYM special?

Becuase Zipp’s new visor appears in that special but this is supposed to be the first time we are introduced to it, and last weeks episode established that TYT is now taking place after the events of the special.

I guess there was some miscommunication involved?

Maybe so?

Would make sense considering Sparky didn’t appear. A few of TYT’s episodes don’t make sense chronologically if looked at their airing order.

They started right off the bat seemingly out of order, as sisters take flight was uploaded last of the first three, but seems first chronologically.

I really don’t wanna dissect each episode for a proper timeline but it’s that out of order.

How do I read the G5 comics?

Sunny’s like: “really Zipp, i already have glasses, plus why would me as the bearer of the alicorn state even steal?”

The best part was “I already have sunglasses” was everyone’s excuse. By the time it was Sunny’s turn she didn’t even need to say it out loud.

Maybe episodes 11 and 12 of TYT somehow take place between the penultimate and last scene of MYM? I don’t know.

i’m still hoping for this in the g5 series(or anything close to it), with sunny approaching the spirit of twilight, and unlocking her full potential in the process.

I think it’s interesting that it seems like she doesn’t want to be there. That could come from two ideas of a backstory– the alicorn kidnapped her or she sought the alicorn out but now regrets doing that.

Is that a bad thing? Anyways, I was thinking more of a Disney’s Frollo and Quasimodo dynamic.

It’s interesting you guys said the unicorn look like she doesn’t like being there because I don’t see it. She looks quite content.
