My feelings of justification in supporting the G4/G5 fandom split continue to grow…MV was getting comments like THIS just for praising TYT…
“G5 IS LIKE MLP FOR GEN ALPHA THEY WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO HAVE THE OG MAIN 6”
OH MY LORD, I am getting “If you didn’t grow up in the 90s, you did not have a childhood!” vibes from this schlock. Even worse to me was how people actually felt like MV “betrayed” them just by praising a show they didn’t like. I’m SO tired of this. >.<

If I ever found out it’s also from the creators of EOJ who are close associates with MVPerry I’ll be very heartbroken. If considering I’m part of their group as well. Their IDC can sound like IH at times. Like “Oh that show again.”

I still remember way back during the Alicorn drama how people where called Hasdrones by some of the more rabid fans for not believing that G4 was ruined forever after the Season 3 finale.

And all because G5 was a sequel to G4. The sad but true thing is, were it not a sequel, this wouldn’t be this bad. But I guess Hasbro wanted to cash in on G4’s popularity.

Well-aware that we’re always going to technically be part of the MLP fandom regardless of our feelings on the generations so long as we’re MLP fans. However, that doesn’t stop the G5 fandom from considering themselves separate from the G4 fandom and vice versa. …Especially vice versa. Like, do you think the kind of people giving MV a hard time consider themselves part of the G5 fandom and want to be around people like us? Isn’t it only natural that people like us look at this obnoxious, elitist attitude and don’t want to be around them in turn?

I think it’s the fact there’s more G5 compared to G4. (or so on, it’s actually the inverse, but they think otherwise)
Not to mention that Hasbro probably won’t renew their contract with WBD, and some people prefer to watch G4 on tv.
