Okay, it’s a bit funny how Sunny’s voice actress in the Brazilian Portuguese dub failed to pronounce Seashell’s name correctly (she pronounced it as See-ah-shell or something like that) but managed to say “Cutie Mark” (which is harder for a Brazilian to say) perfectly.

I always found it confusing since the G4 dub, it’s supposed to be “Bela Marca” or Cutie Mark

Episode was pretty fun. The characters’ powers have interesting combat utility, so I kind of like these episodes where they just go into an instance and fight a boss.

Have no clue why the new TYT is a day late, but whatever. Love how the feedback for it has basically been Hall-O-Marers 2.0 where no one appreciates the awesomeness of Sunny and Hitch working together, everyone’s dunking on it because it’s not about something “big and epic like alicorn lore or Allura”. We’re not allowed to get episodes that are just really fun and have weirdly good stories, it seems. <_<

You give the fandom literally anything, and they’ll wish it was literally anything else.

Filler episodes were great when the show was weekly and there was no end in sight. Right now, not so great.

If we get any kind of indication that the rest of the intended season is still coming, this episode will instantly be reappraised more highly.

Maybe it’s scheduled synced with xkcd’s Monday comic. Anything’s possible at this point.

As someone not caught up on G5, it seems like people dont want it to end yet. Meaning there are some threads and stories not yet done that needs to be done first.

Same for Eqg and what people describe as an abrupt ending.

So I would like to ask. Are there any characters or arcs you would like to see if you ended G5 the way you wanted? Like 2 seasons with two new villians. Maybe exploring Sprout. Maybe having an epic final fight with Opaline and Misty?

Bela Marca was kinda abandoned after season 3. Hasbro probably thought it would be easy to call Cutie Marks by its English name.

A very reliable source has verified that Hasbro has killed G5 completely without warning or explanation, and the decision may have happened as late as February 2024. Cocks had done his best to treat customers of his MLP brand so badly, that many quit - and interest faded quickly, as I had said early on, other actors are coming in with their works about magical horses/ponies. It seems that Cocks did not understand at all how the Chinese think - or that investment in retro display without having anything to show - we see practically nothing today - depends on a good response from traditional customers. Whom he had treated badly. It is possible that a G6 will not come. For now, it is possible to assume that the Ponyverse rumors may be true. Namely that it has been cancelled.

And I wouldn’t be surprised that MLP workers are reasonably angry with Hasbro management, so a Boeing situation could happen, they have been mistreated ever since the ANG movie came out and they have had a lot of trouble with cancellations, interventions and complaints non-stop. IDW probably won’t publish any more MLP comics, it’s empty in December 2024 - for the first time since the beginning. Like us, IDW was probably unaware of Hasbro’s decision. It would not be surprising if IDW management were to give up the license right in response, they would have had to cut back on their plans without warning.

Do Cocks and his ilk think they can ignore the consequences of their thoughtlessness? Perhaps they had fallen into the same trap as the railway director in my country thirty years ago. He had come to believe in consultants and then ignore the advice of experienced workers, so that chaos ensued, ending with a total replacement of the entire management - for the state that owned the railway was furious, to say the least, the customers were in revolt, the trains stopped, the expenses grown out of control -

They had a good reason because Hasbro was in crisis, but their handling of the G5 was seriously lousy - and by canceling all of that, they’ve created a seed of doubt that could fester into the future. Can they continue to take care of My Little Pony? My answer is no.

I wish him the best of luck in China. Because the Chinese do not tolerate ineptitude.
