They definitely do a much better job building Opaline up and giving more insight to her character. Chapter 5 kicked off with showing just how much of a narcissist she is, 100% confirming that she doesn't care about Misty at all and has been playing her for a sap, and then in the chapter finale, we find out that she was ctheually one who planted thea Together Trees. Whatever they're doing with her, it's fascinating how the storytelling with her gets us to think about her character. Shame we never got something like this in any season of FiM.
