No offense, but if that happened, I may have to walk away from the show for a while if it’s executed particularly badly. We don’t need to see this “side” of Fluttershy anymore, unless
maybe it’s done creatively
and true to her character. What we’ve seen of that “side” of Fluttershy after she was discorded has
not been original, true to her character, or risk-taking, since it is based on recycled archetypes and plots; it does not give her depth–and in fact takes it away.
Should she go full Flutterhulk and cause mass havok, destruction, and (kid-safe) violence, she might never have to answer for it or learn from it, given the track record of glorifying her regardless of how poorly she acts toward her “friends.” I stand by my assertion that PYHD damaged her characterization afterwards, and I will not take a variant of that theme kindly. Was it necessary she become more aggressive like every other quiet/nice/shy character ever? I would like to think she could have developed her assertiveness much better while staying true to what she was. People seem to take gentleness as a sign of weakness, a viewpoint I cannot share with the culture of harassment.
Milking the Flutterrage thing would not add anything to the show but could take away a lot. Frankly, it would be a jumping-the-shark candidate for me.
