What the heck. So many gifs on this site from the Polish dub I guess. Gosh dangit. Why do they do this to us? Do they not understand the internet? If you release it in one country it’s in every country! Now there’s spoilers going on everywhere and all the commentary’s going to be old by the time I actually watch it in English…
 
I thought maybe there was an English dub somewhere from all the gifs I saw, but, I guess not if it’s not on EQG or here…

Also first time someone else has been prioritized over Fluttershy to get hit with some slapstick in EQG AFAIK
 
I’m glad they got someone else - not just because Fluttershy’s been a poor target of slapstick for so long, but also because her reaction to someone else getting hit was pretty good :p
 
(Though really I’m not much a fan of slapstick)

Funny thing is, the Ventara joke I made is kind of fitting with the characters being trapped in a mirror (In Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, Ventara was basically a “Mirror World” that the battles took place in).

This whole special is looking like a re-tread of To Where And Back Again, and previous Equestria Girls movies themselves.
 
  • Starlight won’t know what to do since she can’t just use magic to solve her problems  
  • Juniper will turn into some demon-form  
  • Sunset will encourage Starlight about the fact that there’s magic in that world too  
  • Starlight will pony up, save them from the void, then they’ll all combine and fire a rainbow beam to defeat Juniper and destroy the mirror

Obviously set-up for a TV series, with a MOTW formula of “random troubled student finds magic item, goes crazy with power because of it, the main characters kick their ass, and the student (usually) has a change of heart and things manage to work out okay with whatever they’re troubled with.”
 
…And I just realized that I just described the formula of Kamen Rider Fourze perfectly.

I think they’re planning to have Starlight Glimmer be a recurring character on Equestria Girls, not just a one-time appearance. Which makes sense if the theory that she’s being made the new main character in FiM is true.
