Crazy Headcanons

Flurry Heart cringes when her mother and aunt say Sunshine Sunshine in public. Doesn’t help that they do it in front of her friends sometimes.

Pegasi and Dragons used to have an alliance with each other and mutual respect for each other.

Many pegasi even married into dragon families.

But when the pegasi united with the other two pony races, the dragons swore vengeance on the pegasi for their betrayal.

Some pegasus supremacists even believe they are descended from dragons. And anti-pegasus propganda from earth ponies claim the same, albeit for negative reasons.

While not-yet-Big Macintosh found Bright Mac’s dad jokes a mixed bag humorwise, he still used them all years later with his own foals.

To Flurry Heart’s eternal chagrin, Cadance and Twilight make it a point to do their Sunshine Sunshine dance in public. It humanizes pony-izes them, makes the public see them as ponies just like the rest of them, instead of fearing them for their immense power.

Rainbow Dash is really skilled at dancing, but prefers if possible to not showcase it. And by dancing, I mean almost any genre and kind of dance, from ballet, to brakdance, to ball dancing and perhaps even disco dancing.

Twilight and Flash’s foals felt the same way for a time about Mom and Aunt Cadance’s little dance.

They might love their parents but they probably like to sneak of to the “cool grown ups” like Starlight and Trixie.

Derpy once helped Golden Harvest clean the latter’s refrigerator (emptying out the contents into coolers so as not to get cleaning fluids in the food), and “I emptied your fridge” was simply an in-joke between them.

Puns are an inportant part of pony culture. Punning is considered a great art. Puns can even be used as magic itself for unicorns.

In the flipside this is also one reason why other races might despise ponies.

Pinkie’s final form is her Draconquus form.

She is actually an orphan found by the rock family. Her real parents were a draconequus and an earth pony.

I think Pinkie’s real mom is Mrs.Cake.

If the Pears and Apples were from the 1920s, the Pears would probably rather die than drink a sip of alchohal. Whereas the Apples would probably be bootlickers.

To me Pears seem more mild mannered and calm. Probably considered more cultured and intellectual too.

Whereas Apples seem more outgoing and freewheeling. They can be brash and loud.

The Pears probably actually take things like a good education and table manners seriously whereas the Apples would prefer to act on impulse.

It’s why Big Mac sometimes had a hard time getting along with the other Apples at times since he was more reserved and even poetic.

Also last headcanon: I see the Pears as Yankees. And the Apples as Southerners.

Zipp’s favourite band is The Who.

Pharynx, Rainbow Dash, Ember and Starlight love to spar together and fight each other in tournaments for fun. Starlight came up with the idea to channel their Pharynx and Embers agression into something fun and.

The dragons and changeligs teach ponies new martial arts for self defense.

Haven, Zipp and Pipp are the descendants of Shining Armor and Cadance through Flurry Heart.

G5 does take place after G4, but with G4 ending differently.

It’s possible that G4 didn’t end the same way we saw in FIM. What if the Legion of Doom succeeded in separating Equestria? The Mane 6 could have been defeated, which would explain why we only saw their pre-finale forms in the G5 movie. As for the windigos, they too could have been vanquished, but in a different way than uniting everypony together.

So, G5 could be what happened after Cozy, Tirek, and Chrysalis accomplished their goal and separated everypony. And if they were defeated after this separation, the damage would have been already done.

Windigos are magical, so it’s possible they were destroyed by banishing the magic?

When Derpy passed away, most of Ponyville went into mourning.

Must have been quite the guest list at her funeral; she touched more lives than the sun itself.

Caballeron and his henchponies regrouped after the seven-sided chest incident–and then were all down for a week with some sort of con crud.

Chancellor Neighsay was once a Captain on the borders.

His experiences led him to believe in militaristic approach to education and to be weary of other creatures.

Despite that he was also an extremely heroic soldier who got the Medal of Honor and Purple Hearts defending fellow soldiers from dragons.

His greatest contribution was his insistence on meritocracy instead of favors for priveledged individuals.

But he also was strict in his education. Too strict. Twilight almost failed because the curriculum was flawed and didn’t account for certain types of learners.

But he redeemed himself later on. And in Ending of the End, being that he was a commander, led the army against the Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis.

I think he could have an interesting backstory and I never believed him to be pure evil.
