It must be hard being the Shy family in Cloudsdale.
Two shy parents and a shy daughter. And the son is a slacker.
A city that values success and talent. And the Shys are pretty much the opposite. They must not be a very well respected family. Probably considered losers perhaps a cursed family perhaps not even real pegasi but mutant earth ponies.
It was only when Fluttershy started doing great deeds that tthe Shy family started to gain respect from others.
