When you jump from “wE’Re JuST enForCinG RulE #0” to “attacking and antagonizing people is fine as long as you aren’t racist when you do so”, the only thing your posts are useful for is proving your own hypocrisy.

It’s funny that the comments funny as it’s probably to “prevent the baddie bads” from saying Bad things, but on at the same many who might have lost their home or place of employment, which in many cases could be voices of the people they say they stand by. Blaming whatever they can on decent.
 
So them blocking comments are just telling them; “Be quite.”
 
The message isn’t the problem, No one would be against, it’s those who are using it for greed and gain, they say it for back pats. “We at BAND stand in solidarity with this community against bad thing. We at BAND are with you. So make sure to buy from BAND.”
 
Remember when they demanded Body cams on all officer, and then articles came about about how they’re now harmful, Why the sudden change? Anytime someone whine about being profiled and harassed, the body cam footage painted a different story.
 
The fact is the movement of BLM has not helped black lives at all. The ones going on talk shows and getting companies to donate to them. It’s a L U C R A T I V E. business. A lot of them white, and you’d think they’d want something that would erase a paycheck gone? Hell no. They’ll milk it until they can’t anymore. The multitude of times they’ve just to use a dead body for their own gain, while before that many died by gang violence.
 
And the biggest, Glaring issue they all want to ignore is the man all this started a new about. Looking at the toxicology, he was a dead man walking. We probably would have died while driving- killing him, his friends, and other drivers on the road from losing control over his jeep, if not seriously injuring people. You’re gonna need hard proof it was planted in him, which is the problem is they don’t want to, just have you believe it.
 
They want to charge 1st degree murder. There isn’t enough proof it was premeditate in such a way, there’s barely any proof of racism. Unless there’s actual evidence to prove he wanted to be in that part of the neighborhood Knowing Floyd was there, all you’re setting yourself up for a Not guilty verdict at that point. The saddest thing is you can still probably get them on Negligence possibility, from what I’ve heard he was asking if Floyd was on anything. They just want the maximum they can get. They want to say Cause of Death: RACISM!  
I’m not seeing anything that of that, they’re just say that because it was black died around white. Had it been a black cop holding his neck, and even spouting racial slurs, What’s the odds this past week would have happened?
 
The worst of all of this is all of those just using this as an excuse to do as they please will have all the support of people looking for clout on Twitteras they destroy black neighborhoods and ruin black livlihood. Even Logan Paul was stupid enough to think he’d get away with it.
 
They’ll celebrate the destruction even, parrot the same thing “All cops bad” “ACAB” because let’s be honest. They aren’t anywhere near where those protesters voicing their grievances. If they did, then it’s different.

Same with LeBron Attacking someone whose spoken about racial problem being again the protesters, while keeping his mouth shut while in China. Like a good boy. Can’t go against the Masters, huh LeBron? Double standard exist or they’ve have none. Goes for all these celebrities and companies. They don’t care. Just want you do stroke their ego.
 
What really pisses me off is these idiot saying to dissolve the police. Do you really think that’ll make things better? I live where there’s a lot of Meth crime and Meth laps are found by the dozen, If not for police busting them; a lab could have blown up near where I lived at one point. One jack ass lit a house on fire to destroy evidence and that could have possibly endangered lives on the block. I don’t who these assholes are, Hook’em, book’em, cook’em! So all those people tweeting, “All cops bad” I hope you never have need of them, because You Will be called out, the internet never forgets- especially stupidity.
 
The worst part of all this is seeing the destruction, the black lives lost by all of this, and they don’t really care because it’s not politically expedient. This happened before, history repeats and everyone remembers the people causing the destruction where cheered on then. So do you honestly think people would side with them this time after seeing cities burnt to the ground again?
 
As it was pointed out by someone who can read the weather, a big change happened after the Rodney King riots- and the spoon clanks haven’t been wrong yet.

If your goal is to reduce your workload, then thats backfired spectacularily unless you start mass bannings, this whole discussion will just flare up again the next time something runs afoul of this policy.  
Unless its a one time thing, which would have nipped a majority of the concerns in the bud if stated from the start, yet also brought about the obvious issues of favourtism, etc.
 
Either way there doesnt seem to be any further discussion between us so thats that i guess.

Its not about standing up against racism. Its about posting whatever the f**k people want. If you can post pic about all, ALL police man being bastards and pigs then what morale rule you have to criticize others what they post ? Not everything is around a race. If someone is butthurt about some edgy edits or pics why only factor that decide if it is ok to posted should be goddamn race ? Everything is about race these days, everything. Like no other forms of hate (like calling people bastards) does´nt exist anymore.

Not to mention that claiming this is a response to “racism” ignores the hundreds of whites, hispanics, and Asians who’ve been killed by police and who represent the vast majority. I would link to the statistics but I don’t want to derail this. People who derisively ask “Why are you against BLM?” need to understand that dislike towards that organization is not due to prejudice or racism.

I always avoid politics whenever I can since I dislike how vitriolic modern politics is (though sadly politics seems to encroach upon more and more things as time goes on), and this will probably be the only comment I’ll make here.  
I’m concerned that this change of policy may be used disingenuously, especially since nobody is infallible (not even mods), and people tend to get extremely opinionated about this sort of stuff. If somebody does upload a controversial image, it should already be able to easily be filtered out based on subject matter, and users should be filtering out content they don’t want to see.

Thank you for taking this action. I know that by next year I will probably be able to laugh at these images being removed. But the sheer need these people have, like they’re trying to be the first to do r34 for a new character and get the bragging rights for doing it first, it has been revolting. No empathy at all, no sense of how this isn’t something that happened, it’s something that is happening. So thank you staff. This was definitely the right move to make. The people being harmed right now don’t need more grief.
 
Been trying to tell that to the fearmongerers and their “This is a slippery slope!” nonsense in my servers. Though there was one thing I could not defend. One thing that stands out as alarming and probably accidental. BLM, Black Lives Matter, is a group. And an incredibly bad group with a history of racism and getting nothing done. Your statement specifically showed support for that group, instead of showing support for the protest, for the movement against the oppression. I didn’t even notice this at first, it feels like a thin line right now. The mantra of this protest is afterall “Black Lives Matter” which none of us can deny. And while I see BLM as an ally right now, I think rewording this statement to show support not for them, but for the protest, would be more comforting. Especially to those fighting for the cause, and are being excluded by BLM. I’ve only seen a single anti-white comment from a protester so far so it’s not a real problem. Though I just imagine that’s because most people that are part of this, are not part of BLM. This is America against racism. Or heck, bigger than even that with support from other countries pouring in. If this one part was rewritten and clarified, I think the fearmongerers in my servers would finally have nothing of weight left to argue with. With this tiny part changed, I would be able to root out and ban the real racists in my circle.

This shit is a blatant symptom of how divided people are in the world. In a fucking nation that supposedly values freedom of expression it sure is telling that favoritism is the name of the game here in a place where pony pictures were supposed to be discussed about and uploaded regardless of how offensive the content was. As long as it wasn’t illegal it was fine to be uploaded. That is until politics reared its head and cause the mods to figure that they are the moral arbiters of the Fandom. Newsflash mods. You aren’t. You are just like the people who think that anyone and I mean ANYONE that has a different opinion is somehow in the wrong. We have seen that in the last fucking week what with the current media spin surrounding the protests and rioting. Before that any protest was condemned by the media for being “evil” and “terrorism” because people wanted to go back to work since people were not making money at their jobs. But apparently hypocrisy rules the day everywhere in the world at the moment. Let me put it layman’s terms for you. My mother had to buy a fucking GUN because of all the bullshit surrounding the protests and riots because she has to work in major cities where the majority of the rioting took place. Yet people in the media are trying to villianize her and those that bought guns because they are opposed to the other side. This is you right now. Censorship and favoritism with a political stance where none should be.

We hear a lot from people that websites like Derpibooru should be “apolitical” or “politically neutral.” Generally this is expressed by saying that we should make decisions based on our ability to legally host an image and not political opinions. Unfortunately, the statement “Derpibooru should be politically neutral” is, itself, a political statement. Thus, it is fundamentally impossible for a Derpibooru to be truly neutral, because the very act of attempting to be neutral is a political statement.
 
The issue at play here is that literally everything is a political position, which includes our stances on users. For example, we prefer to ban users who openly express racism – this is a political position. So is our public statement that Black Lives Matter. The fact that we do not claim to express any sort of political neutrality does not mean we target “right-wingers” for being right wingers, or leave “left-wingers” alone (or the inverse), and this is a more nuanced view on what it means for an entity to be political than for us to say that we express a specific party membership or ideological alignment. So please stop complaining about this. If you received a ban from us, or we deleted your comment, we banned you because we determined that you broke the rules, not because we hate who you are.

Honestly the easier option does infact seem to be involving use of tags and comments and not submissions themselves.  
Again the term Archive comes up and politically motivated deletion of images and archived material isnt really something that should be priority imo. Regardless of how ‘good’ or moral the stance is, when you deny groups while allowing another one, that just sets up ALOT of drama and unnecessary issues.  
Hell if we really have a problem with this stuff, force tags on things upon upload, even hide certain tags by default and require the user to manually unhide them if they want to see them.  
This does just seem like another misguided solution for something that HOPEFULLY, wont be around for that much longer and could possibly be abused and misused quite alot if not properly laid out…
