Those people were very likely to be trolling and or false flagging to make the other side look bad. But like I said earlier, that still wouldn’t be the fault of Aryanne, that’d be the fault of a lack of education leading to ignorance.

A pony picture, even with a swastika symbol on her flank, can’t make Nazi become likable or less horrific in any way.
 
I know that from my own experience.
 
MAJORITY of people can differentiate reality from fiction, “picture of a pony with a swastika” from “a real Nazi person”, “fictional sex with a cartoon pony” from “Nazi ideology and genocide they did”.

When people draw or like or favorite arts that portray humans having sex with ponies, does it normalize zoophilia? Does it make it seem less taboo? Does it make it more likable?
 
The same situation. Can you see it?
 
We can also include there specific fetishes: rape / snuff / necrophilia / foalcon.  
So, do you believe those arts make all those things seem less bad, less taboo? Do those arts make all those things more acceptable to people in real life?

forgive me for being a bit behind the 8-ball but i noticed that blossomforth is no longer on the staff list. did this just happen today or did this happen some time ago? i read derpy whooves’ not-actually-official-but-kinda-official affirmation of the site’s new stance where joey pretty much got sold down the river but i don’t know if he left before or after the site staff made the not-actually-final decision.

I’m responding specifically to the attempts to assuage my worries that the nazi content isn’t being celebrated for more hateful reasons than mere “free speech.” But rather because far-right ideals are seen as “based” and good by at least a contingent of the supporters.
 
That is my issue.
 
The guy talking about killing people has no content permitted on this site that he could rally under or use to promote his ideals, nor should he. He’s a violent extremist who should be banned, but he has no related art that the site condones or allows.

One of them, LemmonDrop, was a member of Derpibooru for eight years. I highly doubt he was trolling, considering he went all-in and got banned for it.
 
The other was a BP so who knows.

As someone who would advocate for absolutely minimal image censorship, I fully agree with this. Comments can only benefit from strict standards (provided it’s not to the point of stifling civil discussion).

i see. well, i will say that the site’s new stance is better than nothing but i won’t lie, it leaves me feeling a bit crestfallen to see that so many people on the staff who actually gave a shit about the issue have all packed their bags and gone to furbooru. i mean i’m very impressed with furbooru and how it’s run but it’s still got a long way to go before it reaches the level of liveliness and activity that you get on sites like derpi.

I’m enjoying it so far.
 
But it’s a new site. It needs time to organically grow and attract its own audience. It can’t survive if it’s just people that are mad at derpibooru (which is why I’m skeptical of ponybooru’s prospects), but if it can stake its own identity as a general-purpose booru that’s MLP-friendly even if not MLP-specific, and cultivates a lively and welcoming forum culture, I think it can outlast the controversy and succeed as its own thing.

I won’t try to completely shoot down the idea some people find this content legitimately cool. That’s almost certainly a nonzero group.
 
However, what I don’t believe is that this portion of the community is one of any remarkable size, to the point tightening rules on artistic expression is even close to a worthwhile trade. As a leftist I think many people have their hearts in the right place being happy about the rules change that had happened. What I would encourage instead though, is being an active participant in your community. Create content about love, some of it may get downvoted but you will improve and find a more than receptive market for it, I think. And the kicker is real Nazis will be very annoyed.

I’d be disgusted by pictures of a human having sex with a realistic horse with animal intelligence.
 
If MLP-type ponies actually existed, they’d be sentient. They’d be people. The taboo against sex with animals isn’t “ew, it’s another species.” It’s “gross, you’re fucking something that can’t think on the same level as you.”
 
If real-life aliens or demons or other species existed with comparable human intelligence - even if they were a quadrupedal pony-like being - I wouldn’t consider sexualizing such a being to be “zoophilia.”
 
I’d legitimately support a ban on depictions of sex with real/realistic animals, though, absolutely.

I honestly have no idea what to say.

I was talking about the analogous situation:
 
We have arts of fictional ponies having sex with fictional humans, which are NOT the same as actual zoophilia.
 
Those pics can’t make zoophilia seem any less taboo, and those pics do NOT promote zoophilia.

The difference is that Aryanne is sometimes used to promote actual racism.
 
Plenty of them have ended up on this site and laid dormant for years, in part because the people who don’t like racism usually filter her content and don’t see the rule-breaking content to report in the first place.
 
Aryanne fans are going to be a lot more forgiving of artwork like this:

Aryanne banning Jews
 
Aryanne saying - essentially - the fandom’s version of the N-Word
 
This shit isn’t just Aryanne being cute or ironic. It’s her being openly racist and shitty and it’s been on the site unchallenged for years.
