I’m a bisexual ethnic jew, I like aryanne, nazi stuff is a minor fetish of mine, and I’ve made friends with people who like aryanne, in some discord servers and other places too, and those people are very friendly, despite what you would believe, and they know my ethnicity, too  
In fact one time one made a rather light hearted joke about jews one time, found out I was one and publically apologized to me in the discord, I told him it was okay and it was kind of funny, they joke about their own race and sexuality sometimes too, these people are harmless, talking to them feels like taking a time machine back to when the internet was fun and not about identity politics and people could be a little edgy without being unpersoned  
Maybe you think I’m terrible or something for what I like and the friends I’ve made, but to me I think you’re all overreacting, real, actual hate speech was never allowed on this site since day 1  
For what its worth, almost none of those aryanne friends are white, and a lot of them arent straight for that matter either

You forgot the part where some of them are openly threatening to revoke the site from using patreon along with hosting the code to its software, aka deplatforming.

Joining this. I for the most part only have a few edits to my name here, but I do not want to be associated with a site full of Nazis.

I’m also filing my DNP post. The staff have made it clear they side with bigotry, racism, and fascism. I’m more than happy to leave everyone to it.
 
I’m disappointed but not surprised. No other fandom has such an active right-wing echo chamber like /mlp/ that can fuel staff harassment. Pair that with endless anon sockpuppets and artists who’s only political experience is “SJWs bad” and this is the obvious result.
 
You always hear about leftists “taking over” communities but with the recent staff changes its clear the exact opposite has happened. I’m done.

I’m conflicted.
 
On the one hand, I genuinely do see value in Derpibooru being a neutral forum, especially since you never have to see content you don’t want to thanks to its filters (“nazi” and “racism” are even hidden in Default). It ensures that any pony content, even offensive, can be posted and the site acts as a thorough, easy-to-view archive.
 
On the other hand, I an unequivocally against content that is pro-nazi or that otherwise promotes / condones hateful ideologies. I feel it’s important that a stand be strictly taken against those, especially with light being shone on the fandom’s recent rather unfavorable bunch of… well, nazis. Which is why I believe a line needs to be drawn somewhere… and it’s very disappointing that said line has just been erased.
 
The biggest argument I kept seeing pop up against the ban was that it would lead to bans of other content in the future, and honestly, that’s a textbook slippery slope fallacy.
 
I’d like to see some kind of compromise or middle ground be reached, but I don’t know if one exists or what steps could be taken to reach it. But completely backtracking after stepping in the right direction isn’t a good look. I won’t be removing my art or pledging any DNP ’cus, put simply, I like the site. Just hope it can go in a good direction.

I just want all pony art to be archived in one place, is that too much to fucking ask?
