The real big problem here, is that we have a very vocal minority who has an opinion that Nazi imagery, even in jest, even as satire, should not be allowed. Ever. At all.
 
They don’t consider any context, they simply don’t want to be reminded of Nazi in any form at all.
 
But why the majority of derpibooru users should observe and be affected by all this drama going on, just because of that vocal minority who can’t just abandon site or use filters (nazi is hidden by default in filters anyways).

If you’re arguing that banning those images is for the safety of others, you are kidding yourself. No person is that fragile, and if they really are they have larger problems than getting triggered by an image of a nazi horse.

It is. As I’ve said multiple times, the point is to force people into submission. Nazis are just a convenient excuse/target because they’re so hated by everyone, it’s really easy to get people to misplace that hatred by designating someone as “nazi”. Just one label, and people lose any semblance of sense and attack, calling random people who don’t want to join their hateful ideology “bigots” and “bootlickers”, etc.

Exaggerated but actually accurate. By avoiding a psychological issue, you make it worse, attach it to more and more threads of thought so to say. By controlled exposure in a safe environment, you get it to weaken and eventually become extinct.

Also his group was considered to be a bit of a silly joke even by other nazis and wholly ineffective.  
They thought him pretty weird for taking the whole pony thing so seriously.
