Well, glad to see your tone has changed. Forgive me as your first post didn’t really provide much confidence.
 
As for compromises… Well, I’m not sure what guidelines should be established. TBH, considering the purpose of the site, I personally wouldn’t host low quality images (MSPaint or DeviantArt circa 2007), but I can see how that can easily be classified as censorship.

Again i’d take that if people would come back, but I doubt they would now, at this point its less about aryanne and more about lack of trust in the moderation team to not pull this off again, especially with the (lack of) communication and the labelisation as “undesirable”.

If you’ve seen his most recent tweet, it’s pretty clear he’s all about stirring up outrage now. He’s digging up dumb videos from 2019 and attributing them to groups rather than the individuals. The guy is gone, and now all he’s doing is trying to be a moral arbiter of the fandom.

this deep down, is more about principals and feeling like they’re actually doing something about the genuinely fucked up spread of bigotry irl and online.
 
My proposal in real life, if it had been implemented instead of the current shitshow would have removed very very very very very few images from the site, while reassuring those who felt targetted due to those very few images being both okay to be here, and upvoted to hell while posts that event hint to supporting say, trans rights get downvoted to hell by seethingly butthurt people who can’t let people have tiny nice things that make us smile and feel affirmed, like we have the right to exist.  
Not to mention one can easily filter the tag, and despite that, willingly cause a comments shitshow for moderators, which is usually a lot of work, many real hours wasted on stupid shit.
