I’m not talking about tagging the OC owners themselves, I mean the specific types of art that are produced with the OCs. The example I’ve been following is 2925962 (NSFW), where the OC owner doesn’t want NSFW artwork of their OC made, and subsequently the image provided goes against that desire.
I’m thinking something along the lines of ‘Against OC Owner Wishes’ or similar. Just a way to quickly filter out images that are made for those who are turned away by those sorts of situations.
Your thoughts?

Seems to me that adding a tag like that would just facilitate brigading.
Remember there are things like fallout equestria and other community developed storylines for which one or two people arguably can claim creation of. It is not unusual to get requests to remove images that aren’t approved by the original creators of the stories because they have what they feel is ownership of the entire property and anything created by those who work in those alternate universes.
This is not just about one oc, it’s a very expansive issue that really affects a lot of different kinds of images.
And I don’t think adding a “I don’t like this” tag will help these situations, especially if it is construed to convey some sort of actual ownership of other people’s work.
For me, copyright seems like the only way to handle these kinds of situations in an environment where we have millions of users, 107,204 unique OCs, 148,942 unique artists.
Adding slippery concepts like “does the person who created the OC like this image or not” doesn’t feel like it’s helping.

It’s a good question. I think it’s something the community needs to discuss.
Places like DeviantArt and Twitter and Pixiv and NewGrounds and FurAffinity all have such enormously different approaches to these issues, and I honestly don’t know that our solution will work for everyone.
Overall, my approach to these things is to talk to everyone involved and try to find consensus. And admittedly it doesn’t always work.
Sometimes though, the outcome is pretty cool for everyone involved.
But it takes a lot of talking, and respect. Both for the creator of the OC and the artist who created the work.
