Here’s more URL parser weirdness I just noticed.
If you put a URL inside quotes (
"https://derpibooru.org") you’ll get “https://derpibooru.org”. The quotes are first converted to typographic quotes, but then the ending quote becomes part of the URL and it gets turned into punycode, resulting in https://derpibooru.xn--org-9o0a/. 🂾𝕃𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕠𝕝𝕟𝔹𝕣𝕖𝕨𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕣𝔽𝕒𝕟🂽

Tag changes might not always be sorted chronologically correctly? The specific place I noticed this is that the “first” two changes for this tag (NSFW) are out of order with the rest.

I’m trying to upload an interactive SVG (with JS), I thought I could since I read on the Discord server that an SVG upload “doesn’t stripe anything anymore”, but I get a “Sorry, you have been blocked. You are unable to access derpibooru.org” by CloudFlare, is it that my JS is at fault? I admit I don’t know about safe coding practices so I could have coded something in a way I shouldn’t. If it’s that, how should I code? I also hope that the a similar libmagic bug isn’t complicating things (sorry I haven’t taken the time to learn about that).

It should be noted that even if the image could be uploaded, the site will display a still PNG of the SVG unless you go to the Download link.
I don’t think there are any plans to change that, as animated/interactive SVGs are exceedingly rare to start with, and the site rendering the image avoids clients’ phones or older machines committing sudoku when trying to render something complicated.

Thanks! I know of the PNG preview (my pic’s first frame takes that into account and gives basic indications), and I also know of the download link (though you can also change the extension in the “View” link to play without downloading, example, and I’ll provide a link to that in my description for everyone’s convenience).
That aside, is my only option to upload it externally then?

Something is amiss with the alias
fb for simple background. Searching for “fb” returns 93441 results despite showing the tag “simple background (454331)” at the top. In contrast, trying to directly view the tag “fb” redirects to the tag “simple background” and shows all 454331 results. TheGamerPainter

Hi, I may be missing some reading, but I cant seem to be able to add a tag for my oc on any images uploaded previously, i was able to do so on a newly uploaded image but I messed up the spelling and tried deleting the tag and adding the corrected one, but it wont appear, am I missing something here?

Is the site really supposed to be sending 2.8 megabytes of tag data when I go to tag an image? (this file)
I haven’t noticed a pattern to when it has to load this or not.

It’s cached aggressively and should only be downloaded once a day, assuming you aren’t using unique private browsing sessions or clearing your data. A typical pageview on the site will download more data than this.

something seems to be up with the tagging when uploading images.
i type in something and the tag box ends up changing it to soemthing else (for example, “solo” became “only” and “mare” became “sea”)

Is it a quirk of indexing and will repair itself that (very NSFW) these two images show up when viewing some of the tag troll’s tags (example) which are not present on either of those images?

Complex Spoiler Filters continue to be in effect both for thumbnails and image pages while spoiler type is set to “off”, unlike simple Spoiled Tags which cease to apply.
