Notoriously Divine Tagger - Consistently uploads images above and beyond the minimum tag requirements. And/or additionally, bringing over the original description from the source if the image has one. Does NOT apply to the uploader adding several to a dozen tags after originally uploading with minimum to bare tagging.

I can partially confirm this. I don’t know if the actual upload is broken, but the image preview for SVGs is broken (it only shows the “broken image” icon). No warning/error messages in dev tools console. PNG images work normally.
FF 93.0, in case it matters. Windows and Linux.

Yeah that’s what happened last night when I tried to upload. Kinda disappointed since I prefer uploading all SVG :(
Hopefully it’ll be sorted out soon :)

[…] my hypothesis is that the reverse search page always performs the search at 0.25 distance regardless of what is entered in the distance field.
Any chance this will be looked into, soon? Because different distance values work through the API endpoint, I would hope the fix is relatively simple (I just don’t understand philomena’s code to see where the value is failing to be passed from the GUI reverse search page.)
Considering how the use of the distance parameter can make the difference between success and failure to find a picture, I think it’s reasonably important.

Hard to tell if this is a site bug, or a browser caching issue: while tagging, if I type a few more characters in the time it takes for the tag suggestion response to arrive, that response will be cached(?) for the string present when it arrives.
eg. I type “wing ho”. The autocomplete response for “wing” arrives to my browser. I get only the autocomplete suggestions for “wing” when I type in “wing ho” and have to alter the string, eg. “wing hol” to get an appropriate autocomplete suggestion.

Couldn’t say if this is due to a site change or a browser update:
It used to be that while uploading a file, the status bar showed % completion updates, but it hasn’t for a while.

Regarding the image proxy:
I noticed in this post the embedded image failing to load. The proxied result says Unsupported content-type returned
When I visit the image URL directly, Chrome’s network tab gives the response content-type as image/jpeg which is the same as for other proxied images that load fine. What’s up?

The duration field seems to get (nonzero) values for non-animated files. Actually, only SVGs seem to get a duration of exactly 0. JPEG, which AFAIK can never be animated, may be 0.04, 0.08, or 0.12; many PNGs are 0.04 or 0.08 and a couple PNGs are 0.16 or 0.18, and a handful of PNGs are greater than 0.25. GIFs can be anything in between. I acknowledge that both GIF and PNG might be “animated” yet have no changing information and that might make things more complicated, but I haven’t looked into whether that’s actually the case for affected posts.

Well, that’s still the proxy’s problem to deal with, right? I wonder what they’re doing to detect…

Imgur has banned the entire ISP that the site uses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When contacting them to ask about it, they said they had no information about such a ban, but I had four different people confirm it and I checked myself on three servers.

So, it doesn’t seem to suggest the wrong tags if you’ve continued typing anymore, but now, if it has shown tag suggestions for a given string, it won’t display any suggestions at all if you type that string again.
