Policy update regarding AI content

I am starting to like the new rule it is better to have a separate site for mlp so images and normal art

As someone who doesn’t mind AI images as much as some people I’d say having images like that on a separate site is the best choice to make.

Off topic, but I really don’t like how civitai deletes images and jobs after 30 days if they’re not ‘published’, and wish their whole ‘go through your old prompts’ tool they have was less cumbersome. Feels like trying to find something in Facebook. Even deleting old prompts is kind of clunky. It would be nice if they had some way to archive old runs without having to publish them.

I know I’m gonna get my head ripped off for saying this, but IMO this is really a solution in search of a problem and it needs to be said. Tags exist to allow users to filter what they see on the site, that is objectively the correct way to handle the massive increase in AI gens. Just hide what you don’t want to see. Is there even a plan for handling possible image number collisions with a second site? Also I can’t be convinced this is in effort to reduce load on the infrastructure if you’re spinning up a second domain for this, unless the plan is to just s-can the AI site when it becomes an inconvenience. I only stuck with this ’booru after the fiasco a few years ago in confidence that it would still be the best managed and tagged pony content archive, which I now regret since finding pony content I want to look at will become way more complicated.

So it seems the final AI generated image on the site is >>3507605. At least for now.

Where did you see anything from anyone associated with the site who said it was ‘an effort to reduce load on the infrastructure’?

They will remain for now, but their deletion will start on January 6 2025. It’s all in the first post. If you want to keep using AI images as references, you will have to get them from Tantabus.ai.

It’s about the load on moderators, not infrastructure. Everything else was manageable, but handling the massive amounts of reports and appeals was not manageable. This is the problem being solved. I don’t like it either, but it is what it is.

This might be a bit off-topic, and if it is I apologize for that, but I noticed that from time to time I see ai pictures while I am on the default filters. Is that a bug? Or is it intended and we will have filter out those tags manually?
