Not coming up in search engine?

Just noticed something strange here, same applies to a friend:
 
When searching for Derpibooru through Google, Yahoo, Bing, Duckduckgo it doesn’t come up. Images will linking to the site, but the site itself won’t. This use to not be an issue, I think it used to come up front and center. Anybody know what is causing this? Thanks!

We delisted ourselves since the site would always come up as first result when searching artist names, instead of their DA or twitter or whatever.

And on top of that, the way Bing’s crawler works was essentially DoS’ing the site or something like that

Search engines use bots that load pages and scan for words / images to build their search database; when you search for something online, you’re not searching the internet, you’re searching a database the search engine keeps of relevant content.
 
iirc the issue with Bing is it ignored several no-robots definitions which resulted in it going too deep in load heavy pages that have no reason to be search-visible; like going through user faves, tag changes, comment history pages, etc.
