The art is also great and cute to see as well. Hell I know its known as mostly adult, but I spend a lot of time on FA looking at the adorable art people make ^_ You cant hug them yourself, so look at pictures of them hugging others :3

Umm, not one at the moment, but perhaps I could search through the many (Only 3) episodes of MLP and find a good pony base to screenshot or something.

Also, sounds cool, what program do you use if I might ask? I might have Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop 7 thanks to a cute friend

And yeah, meticulous patience sounds like a hard one for me, but I wanna learn so heck yes why not <3. Would you also teach me how to use said bases like you do? Like, transforming the pone into a Lightpoint?

I honestly find everything and everypony cute and not so much attractive. I guess you could say that I’d find them attractive as concomitant of finding them cute, but for me even my favorite ponies like Twilight Sparkle or Princess Celestua are just adorbs

I feel this comment is directed towards me, so in such case shut up you son of a bat, you won’t faking stop me from drawing a toshload of pics of Dark being freaking adorable and completely diminishing his “No flaks given” image >:3

I have Paint.net. It’s a free version of a lot of paid paint programs, so what you have should be good.

It’s all a matter of first removing the backgrounds, mane, and tail using the wand tool, which it’s a lot easier to do when the background is a much different color than the pony himself. At least for me, the wand tool has a tolerance setting, which if turned up higher, will get a wider range of colors, but might get stuff you don’t want, like the border of the pony’s body. If what you remove is part of the pony’s border, you may want to re-draw it.

Once you’ve removed everything but the pony’s body, you’ll have to do some spacial guessing to figure out the missing lines and such that were behind it, using the line/curve tool. Like I posted before with that Feather Bangs pose.

Then it’s just a matter of highlighting the border and body portions separately and coloring them to what you want, and you have a rudimentary base!

It’ll be rough but for your own use it should be fine. Usually I think other people just redraw the entire screenshot line by line to make something clean, but I haven’t done that.

There’s a great idea I had years ago that I’m probably not going to see happen, but some art of it would be really fun. I posted about this in another thread years ago, but I felt like sharing here. @CountDerpy you might appreciate this.

It occured to me how well a fit Final Fantasy 2 (the original Japanese one) would work with a pony version. It’s the only one of the original 10 that I never played, but I’m generally familiar with the plot. The 2017 movie, or at least the setting and situations therein, are practically a perfect fit for Final Fantasy 2 and it’s big bad emperor (which would become the Storm King!) and I would adore to see some sort of great artwork about that. I imagine the four main characters as Starlight Glimmer, Trixie, Sunburst, and Sunset Shimmer.

I won’t get into story specifics and spoilers so as not to get to long winded, but the big bad guy emperor has a right hand dark knight. (And so does the Storm King with Tempest!) There’s a snag here story wise with the main characters but I’ll leave that alone.

I just love the thought of it!

Last musings for tonight-

I found some good stallion screenshots from the show which I’m eager to turn into bases for use on Lightpoint in this thing I’m doing.

I enjoy seeing hideous AI abominations, they make ne laugh. And it just so happens that one AI image uploaded within a day of this post has already reached the lowest scored image in the AI generated tag. I want to see it, but I’m in the middle of a throat thing and my voice is awful right now, so I want to wait to see it until I’m comfortable laughing again.

Ok this is the first time I’ve woken up to zero new replies on this thread.
Have I posted too much in too quick a timeframe? Don’t think that would affect anything…
