A doctor once told me medical food was meant to make you puke so you expelled all the viruses... damnit I kept on thinking that for like 5 years, I was little D:

I... I'm not sure if this is mean to say or not, but...
A friend of mine is on some hypno-thingy to feel like a pony, just as you said. It seems it works very well for others in the group he is into, both because of the 'feeling like a pony thing' and because it seems like it aids you psychologically.
You'd basically listen to a soft voice telling you how to feel while you were relaxed.
