I’ll call it even when an image featuring a cop being brutally murdered is allowed to remain and is justified with calls of “S’just a joke bro, you mad?”. Until then, enough with that “Both sides” bullshit.
 
It literally was.  
People had to argue for pages upon pages in order to get that one image removed.  
And it turns out the mods didnt even look at it properly.

Which shows a murdered cop-pony with a lenghty rant how its okay to slaughter cops. When the mdoeration polled on it, they said it was a-ok

Still applies to your standards, especially on communism. You should perhaps take a look on Marx’s writing on jews, what he thought of their religion, and how he saw them from an economic perspective. Spoiler alert: it’s not friendly. It’s an inherent part of his worldview, and hence reflected in communism.

A plausible reason why ACAB drawings haven’t been under as much scrutiny is that the overwhelming majority aren’t purposefully provocative
 
The ACAB acronym/imagry/symbology serves the same purpose as the swatsticka. They’re both symbols of thier own hate groups. If you ban one you should ban the other.

Then the better option would still be to disable comments on such images and even if by default, lets say anything tagged Nazi the comments are disabled. There are other methods like monitoring comments of questionable tagged images which wouldn’t be a huge hassle considering that such content has always been on a very low end of being posted. in the first place.
 
 
I just want to point out I’ve been suggesting this for the past week over and over, and it has never been addressed by them. They seem to refuse to acknowledge that other options are possible. The “they bring toxicity in comments” thing keep being brought up but not automatically remove comments and keep the pictures to keep its archival role.

Why, yes, that is hate speech and it definitely should’ve been removed. I’d rather skip their rant though, ain’t much justifying outright murder.
 
The problem we’re getting at is the mods didn’t look at it when deciding whether it was allowed or not.  
By noticing the cop killing rant, you did more than they did.

Luna’s answers seem that their intended application of the rules is significantly biased (later they also confessed that they didn’t look too closely when conducting polls - what hope do we have for deltion after the polls which would be inevitably more rushed)

Thank you for the clarification and impressive effort in this policy adjustment. Finding a balance between defending free thought and expression and quashing cruelty is no enviable task. People who exercise cruel or insensitive self expression are unfortunately not uncommon in a community this size. Ideally, I think it shouldn’t be the responsibility of site staff to be moral authorities, but I understand compromise is difficult, and a moderation system assisted (not necessarily run) by popular vote might be out of reach.

And/or additionally, bringing over the original description from the source if the image has one. Does NOT apply to the uploader adding several to a dozen tags after originally uploading with minimum to bare tagging.

we must instead carefully moderate content, and we plan to take the process of reviewing images for deletion slowly so that we aren’t overzealous (and thus unwelcoming to artists).
