If google translate is anything to go by, that German word means “occupation” or “profession” or “job” in English. And yes, it is wrong that this policy allows you to discriminate an entire profession.

Clamp it down; this is a thread about a rule change, not a politics general thread, and I will not hesitate to Rule 6 things.
 
As to the policy, “All Cops Are Bastards” is on its own just barely okay, because it’s both highly general and talking about a profession. Individual images that add things can easily push it too far, and we will definitely be taking a careful look at some particular images, like the one with the blue blooded pig.

Thanks, it took a lot of time to get everyone’s ideas in for this announcement. The original version was actually 3 different proposals! It was in the end worth it, I feel.

Would genital mutilation pics count as sexual discrimination? Its a real practice thats mutilating many women in africa each year, and thus a very real danger, based in very sexist ideology. We shouldnt spread that on here.

They still hadn’t made a sitewide announcement. Only a tiny minority of site users visit the forums, and hence the majority will not know about the supposedly-final rule change.

Only a minority care about the rule change, to be fair. Lots of people still don’t even realize anything happened in the last month.

This whole situation has been enlightening to say the least. I have well and truly lost faith in humanity, but also many people in the fandom. No mater what cause you advocate for, whatever the hell went down on here and various news sites is not the way to have a constructive conversation about these issues. For any community to exist compromises have to be made, and if the collective response to trying to reach that compromise is “if I can’t have my way I’m leaving and I hope you get shut down” or even “I will actively try to get you shut down” then we might as well close the entire Internet down.

Nebbie didn´t respond to that topic, therefore, there is going to be bias because of that. They are leaving out the ACAB seen as material of hate speech because they don´t feel like deleting it (displaying their political positions indirectly by leaving it by removing other material instead).

There’s nothing discriminatory in the act itself, but possible reasons to do it. If you see images that are advocating for you to hurt others based on their sex, report them.

Context is a thing buddy. My pics are sexual. Sexuality is something planted from a very young age. Can’t lure anyone into it, or make someone like something they wouldn’t have liked otherwise. Anybody can be lured into bigotry. Nice try though, I’m sure y’all felt really clever finding that, and deciding it meant I’m a hypocrite regardless of context being a thing that matters. 👍

So the poll that was done which closed today with a clear majority favouring no change - why was that done? Just to rub our faces in our powerlessness?

It’s been pointless from the beginning. TSP owns the site and what he says goes, regardless of what administration thinks or says, regardless of what moderation thinks or says, regardless of what the users actually want, regardless of all but his own biases.  
It’s unfortunately very clear what side he’s on.

That was just a user-started poll, it never had any expectation of impact, more of a protest statement than anything, though IMO the majority anti-censorship should justify a sitewide poll on the issue so we can get those nice random samples statisticians like so much

Which is exactly why the sitewide announcement must be made. And why it is not being made - the staff are trying to sit on three chairs at once - trying to keep the censors, the anti-censors, and the unaware users.  
The unaware users are here because of the art, though, and if the art keeps getting removed, well…

Its still beyond 1000 users and checked for new acount influence which was minimal (and for censorship), a ammount that would be accepted as a good poll for a country with millions of voters.  
Fact is most people dont even use the forums, and if the staff wanted to actually consult the community they could, but theyd rather not wake up the wasps nest. Instead they will whittle away at Wrongdraw until artists they deem as bothersome to their ideas will be driven out and the average user will just assume the artist themselves removed their pictures.  
Its pushing TSPs iron fist but all nice and clean, withouth as much of the backlash.  
And I wont stop telling that to whoever wants to hear it or not until I am convinced this isnt whats going to happen, which wont happen until I see longtime proof of the new rules beeing applied fairly on both sides.  
Which would still be suboptimal since removing art for beeing controversial is such a authoritarian move.
