Edits using art from artists that are incommunicado ?

What is the site policy for that?
Or the general opinion, for that matter?.

Please respect and protect their anonymity. For example, if they are using a PHP tag, use that to credit them so you don’t expose their real identity. And if they are incommunicado some other way, such as using an alias, use that.

Ok. I’ll try to contact them and if no one answers for, say, a week, then I will use their stuff without explicit consent but give full credit.

Fair enough, I guess, since I don’t plan on monetizing anyway.

If you have examples, you can send them to me in a PM and I can tell you if any of the artists are “no edits”

Spectre-Z or Ohmudak, for example. As far as I know, both just disappeared years ago.

Artist:Ohmudak should be ok. I don’t see anything indicating that they mind edits when they are properly credited, and is not similar to anything on their Patreon.

Artist:Spectre-Z on the other hand might not be ok. They have left several edits here, but they also have taken down several edits, including some recent - especially ones that were too close to what they had for Patreon. I would suggest that you get their permission first. You might be able to reach them via a PM here, although it might take a while for them to reply.
