I just realized something, Does it count to get the artist badge if I tag the original artist?

Unfortunately, the artist tag it’s only for those images that you have drawn, that’s the way you can identify in the site creators of content. What you are referring to sounds more like a general uploader kind of badge, which Derpi also has.

I think you were 2½ years too late for this one (the cutoff date for “Since the Beginning” was June 17, 2012 IIRC).

I don’t think you qualify either (my account is a month older than yours and I missed it by five days). You might be able to get a “The End wasn’t The End” badge like me however.

I think the cut-off date for that badge is June 17 2012. Any account made before that day qualifies.

I honestly didn’t know you could request badges until recently. The only one I ever got on my own was the paintbrush artist one. I dunno how I earned the others.

I have a very faint memory of a mod once saying that the cut-off date for the “The End wasn’t The End” badge was July 1 2012. IOW, if you made your account between June 17 2012 and July 1 2012 you get that badge.
But there has been some leeway (like, several weeks of leeway), so maybe if you ask nicely, they’ll give it to you.

How far in time WAS that particular “leeway” case?
-> I choosed to make a new account “from scratch” once Derpibooru looked like it was here to stay [I do not know how to provide proper “proof” that I was into pony pics since 2011].

I don’t know how much there is leeway. For example, ZuTheSkunk’s account is from November 2012 and he has the badge.

The Spike badge and the crow badge are for metadata.
You get the Spike badge by doing 3000 metadata updates (like adding tags and sources), and the crow one by doing around 8000-10000 metadata changes (although the last one is kinda flexible)
