Also this. The site already had a problem with page after page of low quality screencaps of unimportant and uninteresting scenes.

I think JP’s post may square the circle of AI-assisted vs. pure ML-generated: if there’s enough human intervention to warrant an artist tag, then it’s probably fine to count. If it’s pure AI or AI that’s only been touched up (and not a transformative work), then it’s zeroed out.

IMO, there’s a higher likelihood of substantially-edited AI art having artistic merit than 99% of edited screencaps (where the edit is often adding dialogue or fetish nonsense)

I’ve uploaded all four panels in a row few days ago, but didn’t notice that second one was already here, so it got merged and now it’s out of order and need links in description for easier navigation.

I can’t find any written policy on this, so I’ll ask here: if someone had uploaded your art but you want to edit the description, how do you go about “taking control” of the upload? I remember it being mentioned as possible a while ago, but that’s all. Is it a hassle? Can you do it in bulk, or only one at a time?
It’s not the end of the world, I just like to link together related images, and the others in this set were uploaded by someone else before I had an account. If it’s a pain, I’ll live.

You can submit a request to have the descriptions edited by reporting one of the images for “other”.

Has anyone ever made a graph of images with 99+ comments sorted by when they were posted? Something like (age of image in days / 365) on the x-axis and log(comment_count) on the y.

I have a hunch that images with 100+—and especially—300+ comment chains are predominantly older than 5 years ago (and not because the older images have had five more years to accumulate comments)

How do you post an image into a thread?

Can a tag that is currently an alias of another tag be updated to become the current tag, while the original tag becomes an alias?

reasons is that I consider updating my artist tag in the future ^^;

Does the badge relating to how much money you’ve donated to derpi overall (the gem/element of generosity badges) still get upgraded/updated? (IE still donating using a monthly service like subscribestar/pixv)

Im asking becuase my badge for donating is still on “Sapphire”, and i thought that i would have donated enough to get it to the next “tier” by now X)

Sorry, we can’t discuss the identity of accounts. “Member since X years ago” may be counting from a time the account was renamed, but I could be wrong.

I made a report recently about some images using vectors without crediting the vectors’ artists, and also asking if the “artist:” tag related to the source account should instead be an “editor:” tag. The report was closed, and no changes on the reported images’ tags were made (no artist tags added, no “edit” added). Why?

It was duplicated to a new report to free up your report slots, while I dig into what is happening behind the scenes. That report actually has a lot of moving parts.
