That game strongly reminds me of Yahtzee’s (yes, that Yahtzee’s) Trilby: The Art of Theft game, which, subsequently, has a pretty nifty ost for a free game. The sound sampples are rather good for a midi.

Some gameplay for reference.

Trilby: The Art of Theft soundtrack - 06 - Art Gallery
Trilby: The Art of Theft soundtrack - 09 - Dead on the Floor
Trilby: The Art of Theft soundtrack - 15 - Art of Theft

The games are not identical, but some of the similarities in style are interesting to note.

Seems very likely; it’s very hard to believe all of those similarities are just consequential, especially since the Gunpoint also has a music piece called Electric Fedora in their game.

Interesting times we live in, I must say.

Another game I am reminded by both of them is the Rhythm Thief game. In terms of aesthetics, it’s kind of a mix up between Professor Layton, Parappa the Rapper, Sly Cooper and Gunpoint.

As is expected from a rhythm game, there are some gems to be found in the game’s original music library.
Rhythm Thief - Fondue’s Wish
Rhythm Thief - Flight from the Gardens
Rhythm Thief - Detective Claude’s Appearance
Rhythm Thief - Throwdown with Napoleon
Rhythm Thief - Stand In Heinrich’s Way
