Only a couple days until Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is finally released.
While I’m mostly satisfied with the roster of playable characters, I’m still disappointed that they haven’t brought back the Fantastic Four (who were essentially in the same boat as the X-Men in the movie rights debacle between Marvel and Fox). In fact, not only are they not playable, they haven’t shown up in any of the trailers or gameplay footage I’ve seen so far, which implies to me that the game doesn’t even so much as acknowledge them, which is just baffling.
Well, at least we know they’re coming as DLC eventually…

The only time I ever booted a party member in any game. As soon as I was given the chance to ditch her, she was a memory.

going to guess you didn’t do it because she was a terrible representation for lesbians with her selfish psychotic behavior and abusive treatment of the inquisitor should they hook up,

That too. But mostly because Her entire shtick was subverting elvish archtypes.
I got sick of how often she’d go on about how lame traditional elves are and that she’s totally cool and unique. There was nothing else to her.
Plus she intentionally withheld information that almost got the inquisitor killed and tried to brush it off like it was nothing. Fuck everything about that bitch.

She was basically pinkie pie If she was a pretentious lesbian who hated her own culture and traditions. And she just would not shut up about it.

I generally don’t like to describe boss fights in video games as unfair, because most of the time,
they aren’t- the problem is usually I either come into them underleveled, or there’s some trick to them that I’m not able to figure out right away. It’s very rare that I find a boss fight that’s hard, but for the wrong kinds of reasons.
Unfortunately, I’ve just found a new one of those.

It kinda depends on how well the game is, as some boss fights can be unfair at times.
One of my favorite final boss fights was Kaptain K. Rool from “Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest.”
As a kid, at first the boss seemed very unfair, and ridiculously hard, but the more I played it, the better I got, and now that fight is ridiculously easy for me now.
The old NES TMNT game is considered unfair by many, (including the AVGN) but I played that so much as a kid, I actually hardly have any problems with it now.
My favorite part was the Technodrome boss. (That’s right, you actually get to fight it, before you enter it.) Some find that boss unfair, but if you have a throwing weapon, especially the powerful Kai/scroll weapon, the boss gets easier, and you can easily destroy it’s electrical Trident, and other defenses, before taking out the eye on top.
Oddly, in the AVGN’s review he didn’t destroy any of it’s weapons, and only attacked the eye, so apparently he was unaware the Technodrome boss is easier if you focus on destroying it’s weapons first, including the pod that foot soldiers pop out of.
While I enjoy the AVGN, sometimes I wish people wouldn’t take his reviews, or other comedy critics so seriously, as sometimes they exaggerate how bad a game is, (or in the case of the Technodrome boss, aren’t playing it correctly) and such for comedy.
Though, some games do deserve the bashing, I suppose. (I never could figure out Roger Rabbit.)

Well, the boss of chapter 1 of Witcher is kicking my ass, so I reloaded a save before the point of no return to better prepare myself.

I have come to realize the ones before world were quite clunky and stiff.
I guess I was just that used to it.

That’s what happens. World has its flaws, but honest hitboxes are an improvement.

From their perspective, they’d probably say “oh well, not our problem”. Their only concern would be if that problem escalates to the majority of that market no longer giving them money.
