I went Stormcloak for my “canon” run because it felt like what will canonically happen to give the Thalmor an excuse to go ham on Skyrim.

Fallout 3 never really gave The Vault Super Mutants a Leader Figure…

They just kinda do their own thing in small groups between capturing Humans to transform.

Reminds me, don’t know if it would be feasible, but one mod I’ve always wanted to see is one where the Dragonborn is a separate NPC that does the main quest while you play as some guy.

Why do only major skills contribute to levels in Oblivion? I don’t get it lol

Because the gameplay was an afterthought is my only guess.

Well, I like the class system better than how Skyrim does levelling. But levelling is kinda slow. Not that I mind it, I think Oblivion does a better job at the RPG. Skyrim is a fun sandbox with good combat on the other hand.
I wish they didn’t remove acrobatics, that’s one of my favorite parts of oblivion.

Oblivion was made to have a level cap, Skyrim’s perk system means you eventually topped out before it had the various ways to reset, since skills are now just a way to hate perks for the most part being able to max them out means little if you don’t have perk points to spend, where as in oblivion realistically there is no benefit to going over the highest level for scaled artifacts,

Oh yeah, weapons scale with your level in Oblivion. Or well, your level determines what they are when you obtain them. I’ve played 23 hours of Skyrim and I’m level 21, but in the same time in Oblivion I’m only level 5. I’ve read that you have to level efficiently in Oblivion to avoid the stupid enemy scaling too. I’m just using a scaling mod that puts a cap on enemy gear.

Intended mechanics or not the level scaling is fucked. I don’t want to fight bandits in Daedric Armor because I didn’t happen to level the right way.

Some artifacts in both games scale too but only to the level you got them at, which is annoying cuz it means you need to power level to avoid getting bad versions of gear,
