Dragonflight has quite a few gay characters/couples and they’re all treated very matter-of-factly. Like, one quest has you help out this centaur dude propose to his lover. It’s never brought to attention that they’re gay, it’s not the focus and there’s no taboo about it. Just two gay dudes wanting to get married.

Natch’ you got a bunch of bigots screaming about “teh gays”. But you also have some folk that are mad that they’re not making a big deal out of characters and drawing attention to them.

Normalization is the whole goal. It’s good to see gay characters just “be there,” and it not be a big deal.

I remember seeing that quest, I didn’t realize they were both males. I was more focused on the campaign.

Some salesmen need discourse as it is cheaper than normal advertising.

The FTC has voted to sue Microsoft in an effort to block its acquisition of Activison/Blizzard.

This marks the first time that I’m aware of the FTC moving to block a merger in the gaming space.

It’s debatable whether this will hold up in court, as the FTC will have the burden of proof in determining if the merger will stifle the market.

The flashpoint centers around, rather pathetically, Call of Duty, in which Sony is the leading opponent. They’re the ones that moved to lobby for the lawsuit.

Microsoft is the Disney of gaming. It should be blocked on anti-monopoly laws alone.
