Too bad there wasn’t a Wii game like this.

I’ll want to learn how to emulate Luigi’s Mansion 1 and 2 and get a way to use a gamecube controller with a PC for next year.
 
Edit: I learn that 1 and New Moon (which I think is 2) are on the eshop, so I’ll by them next month and play the latter on the 3DS while emulating the former on my PC since it’s a gamecube game.

Name me one video game story or plot better than the one in TF2/Counter Strike’s ze_santassination. It can’t be done.
 
And no Bad Dudes don’t count.

I think I know exactly what Blizzard’s plan is with Sylvanis’s character.

They’re setting up an old cliche. The “irredeemable” villain who has become the Dragon to the big bad, in the end has a last minute onset of hope/remorse/pride and turns on/fails the Big Bad. Gets unceremoniously obliterated by said big bad (likely in front of the heroes), and dies a vapid martyr to set up the climax of the plot.

I’m disappointed that Herobrine isn’t an alternate skin for Steve in Minecraft. I’m really disappointed that shitass isn’t either.

Before it’s release, I was actually looking forward to Watch Doge Legion, because despite everyone packing like it was America, a game about mass surveillance abuse being set in the UK made a lot of sense and opened up story possibilities that wouldn’t be available to a game set in America.
 
Upon mulling over the premise however, something dawned on me: why aren’t we playing as cyber-terrorists fighting against a legitimate authority? It harkens back to my criticisms of the first game and the series as a whole, in that instead of being a more grounded GTA, it’s a less-zany latter-day Saints Row game where the backdrop is ignored in favour #Resistance grey-hat hackers vs. unscrupulous tech billionaires, gullible politicians, and crime lords.
 
Instead of it being something interesting and questioning at what lengths it’s ok to go to in order to fight against an encompassing mass surveillance state, it suffers from unseen consequence of Ubisoft’s pathological fear of making ‘political’ games: the story, characters, and setting suffers due to constraints on the writers.

They coulda make the player like Alif from G.Willow Wilson’s debut novel Alif The Unseen. Set in a Islama-punk world (it’s Egypt, actually) with heavy internet censorship.
 
The story centers around Alif, a grey hat vs The Hand of God, aka the state censorship.
 
Alif’s clients, ranging from thugs to jihadist to communist to your average hentai coomer, regularly butt heads with  
The Hand who keeps taking access away, until eventually it spills out irl where Alif was chased by the government.
 
Both Arifu and Za Hando believe they were doing the right thing, and their battle ended up breaking the state and the network, inciting riots and public hanging, but at least ppl are free and uncensored now.
 
The usual young adult fantasy stuff.

Wasn’t there an NPC conversation in a Mass Effect game that heavily implied that asari take the form of the individual’s preference?

So there aren’t any male asari for people into guys why? If they’re an asexual race that changes for the individual’s taste, than their appearance should fit that claim and have a gay male/straight female Shepard see them as males.

It’s ambiguous if asari really do have a glamour going on or not. Especially since said conversation was about the npcs focusing on different features (ie the turian talking about her head tentacles while the salarian talking about how lithe she is, etc).
 
So it there could be some minor mind control going on, or it could be a trio of drunks at a strip bar having poor communication with each other.

They may change for individuals, but yeah, they’re all otherwise female.
 
They can apparently reproduce together, but there is some kind of problem with that I’m vague on.

The game claims they’re asexual, just like the creators of Steven Universe claims that the gems are asexual.
 
And I think it’s the same problem with purebreed animals, I believe.

It’s a mostly cultural issue with just one hang up. When asari became spacefaring and discovered aliens, they decided to emphasize reproduction with aliens for the genetic diversity it brings their species. Also, purebreed asari have a very small chance of birthing a mutant with a genetic quirk that causes them an addiction to mating while killing their partners. Basically a sex vampire or succubus. So they stigmatized asari/asari couples.
