It started as a means to artificially gain legitimacy to end the mage/templar war, what with the previous army used for such things being one side of that war. The religious aspect was intentionally played up until it became legit.

Tell that to the Chantry. The official position of The Inquisitor as being “Herald of Andraste” is always being questioned by the Chantry. In fact the Inquisition’s ambassador once told that many follows the movement because of religious reasons. Were the MC to just straight up tol’ errybody “Hey btw I wasn’t given a gift by Andraste, it was all a terrible coincidence” they’d lose morale.
 
No it wasn’t created for any religious reason, but the original Inquisition was still originally a religious organization, and the advisors of the current Inquisition are religious ppl who had high positions in the Chantry–This is one of the weird moments where you can’t claim secularism.
 
Doesn’t matter if the Inquisition was formed to purely to combat a glitch in the system. The organization was created by religious ppl, its followers are religious, and its head figure is a possibly heretical prophet-figure. To the outside it LOOKS religious.

I still think the Inquisition should have slowly lost it’s foundations and become more of a bizarre neutral party between Fereldan and Orlais, made up less of Human faithful and more of people who it bought off with it’s mandate giving them allot of powers to help them, like recruiting Carta members by offering to act as a middle man on expanding their lyrium trade, and getting Dailish on board by offering to return chantry held artifacts ect to them, while the advisers start to feel kinda pushed out by the fact that they are becoming the minority within the organization,

The Inquisition does end as a neutral peace broker between Fereldan, Orlais and possibly the entire Thedas.
 
It no longer being tied to the Chantry means it welcomes ppl of all kinds, from Mages to Dales to Carta.
 
It is even making its name in Tevinter, and if the Ben-Hassrath is doing its job, then the Qun is also taking interest in the organization.
 
IMO at the end the Inquisition is pretty much a multiracial, multicultural “Corporation,” removed from its Chantry-based founding.
 
Yet, when it’s the organization that produces and houses the current Divine, it’s still hard to entirely remove religion out if it.

Tried to speedrun REmake 3 on the second highest difficulty. The first Nemesis encounter is a roadblock.
 
I already beat it on the third highest difficulty but dang is the leap between the two noticeable.

Got the pre order, never doing this again, time for sleep.

Wonder how Bethesda Will react at the fact that now they can’t released bugged games anymore.
