There are many things in my life to regret, letting my anger over bad writing convert into hatred of decent people who were just making mistakes, lashing out at Squiggy that one time because of my paranoia, but of those many things, being pissed at a guy for making a really stupid comment in an interview is not one of them,

Terry is being included for the legacy as well, since SNK’s fighting games are right up there with Capcom’s in terms of being important and influential to the genre as a whole. Many mechanics you see in fighting games today (including Smash Bros.) like super moves, dodging by rolling and sidestepping, rage mechanics, and elimination-style tag team fighting originate from SNK’s fighting games.
 
Also, it wasn’t Fatal Fury. Sakurai said in an interview that he was an avid King of Fighters player when he was younger. He specifically mentions an instance of beating a less experienced player multiple times in The King of Fighters ’95, which made him worried that he potentially discouraged someone from getting into the game more, and in turn got him thinking about making a fighting game for beginners.

Oh, so being too good at King of Fighters inspired him to make Super Smash Bros. Including someone from SNK makes sense, then.

Like I said, it could be a mistranslation. Plus he’s had several other badass female characters in the games that are still canon (such as Portrait of Ruin). So it’s possible he’s changed his mind since then.

Regardless, does anybody think that a dedicated thread for the Mother/Earthbound series should happen, despite how many games the series has?

Hard to say, I made dedicated threads for Metroid, Animal Crossing, TMNT, and MST3K, and nobody uses them.

I’ve never been especially good at multitarget quests, so i avoid them.
 
Taking on blastfists and quagbomb was suicide, but i managed to make it with only a single death.
 
Thank goodness for free meals and fast eating.

I like the companions in New Vegas’ Dead Money DLC. But we don’t get enough time with each.
 
And Dog/God got screwed in the weapons department. To paraphrase the wiki: ‘Being a super mutant means, due to a quirk with the game engine, Dog/God is limited in the weapons his character model is able to hold. And because you can’t bring weapons into the Sierra Madre this means there’s only one weapon he’s able to equip in the entire DLC. And there’s only one that exists is in a optional area, only available right before you lose your companions for good, in the opposite direction where you’re supposed to take Dog/God, and he won’t have much time to use it anyway. And the sledgehammer won’t increase his attack power much to begin with.’
