No, I don’t care that I didn’t actually fully complete it. Bears fuckin’ Repeating was such a mess to play on its own that the thought of doing a perfect relic run makes me want to bash my goddamn head in. I got to the end, I sent Cortex to the Shadow Realm, I’M DONE.
And just in time for Sly 2 and 3 to finally receive a emulated port on the PS5. Guess I know what I’ll be playing next…

I do at least want to go back and 100% (not 106%) the game at some point, if only because getting the gems (for the most part) isn’t THAT BAD of a challenge on it’s own, and I actually really enjoyed most of the flashback tapes.

They’re on PS5 officially. Sony put the first Sly game on the system back in May, and both 2 and 3 are now available as of today.

Silent Protags in games are frustrating sometimes.If they’re with a larger team and witness something very weird or dangerous that no one else sees, they’ll likely say nothing to rest of their group about said oddity.I recall this horror shooter where you’re a soldier and all your allies are constantly barking out status reports while your ass is as quiet as a mouse.How you don’t get reprimanded for failing to coordinate with your troops just baffles me.
Today, I came across something that was essentially the opposite of this.
A Survival Shooter with the player character being a Cocky Guy who doesn’t shut up despite being all alone in a hellhole filled with savage running corpses and other beasts.
I guess you can say this is the “Duke Nukem” effect at play, as in the protagonist knows they’re badass enough to take on their enemies even without the element of surprise but it’s still kinda weird when you analyze it.

Haven’t played it, but historically speaking the previous games didn’t need earlier entries to understand what was going on. It helped, and there’s nods here and there, but for the most part they’re mostly self-contained stories.
