Video Game General 2: Definitive/Remastered Edition

Haven’t tried it yet. And I already turned one into a VenomMyotismon so I don’t need to differentiate them anymore.

But I also got a Diaboromon. That’s much better.

Classic Doom got a remaster with every classic game. You get it free if you already owned everything already.

Diaboromon is very cool. It’s my favorite evolution line even.

It’s a cool line but I wish it would make up it’s mind whether they want him to be a chrysalis or not.

It’s like how the Gabumon line keep switching back and forth between making him bipedal and quadrupedal.

I mean, the chrysalis is the transition of one from to another.

And that’s where the X-Antibody variant comes in, where MetalGarurumon X is bipedal with a machine gun for a hand.

Yeah but whereas Diaboromon looks like he hatched out of Infermon’s chrysalis, Armageddomon looks like Diaboromon went back into another shell.

That’s because lore-wise, Armageddomon is made up of a bunch of Kuramon as the second Diaboromon and the Savers/Data Squad 3D short shows.

On the one hand, Evil Within 2 is on sale. Dammit, now I have to spend money again.

On the other, Cyber Sleuth is likely to keep me occupied for another month at this rate. So I get to save money and hope for a bigger sale next time.

It’s more fun of a BR than PUBG.

Suddenly new rerelease of Doom 1 and 2, packaged together with Final Doom, Master Levels, No Rest for the Living, Sigil, and an entirely new map pack, along with arranged soundtracks for Doom 1 and 2, along with online cross-platform multiplayer. Neat.

Also Limited Run games is releasing SNES Doom, and looks like it has nifty new features like circle strafing and Thy Flesh Consumed.

Is a good day to Doom.

I was almost interested in the Doom Anthology set, until I read that the physical edition just contains download codes for the games.

For fucks sake Bethesda, would it really be that hard to print discs for the classic games? You’ve already done half the work with 2016 and Eternal.

You are going to hate me for saying this, but I think Skyrim is a better RPG than Oblivion. Part of being an RPG is choice (that’s the R, roleplaying), and I think Oblivion having stats is the only leg it has there, and it’s a weak one. In practice, the builds for both games aren’t that different, but Skyrim gives you more roleplaying options. I mean, you can kill an entire faction in Skyrim and it’s not you breaking the game, but the game letting you choose base on your character (rolrplaying). Heck, In My Time Of Need actually rewards the player if they know the lore of the world by helping them realize which side is telling them the truth. I don’t remember anything in Oblivion nearly as satisfying.

Also, I disagree that Oblivion doesn’t have more choice. Skyrim may have some but it consolidated a lot of skills for no real reason, even more than Oblivion already did. And removed fun ones like Acrobatics and Athletics. I like being able to jump super high and run faster. Fuck you for that Todd.

I like both games. But Skyrim does seem more accessible at the cost of some more fun stuff. Hopefully TES6 adds back more of the fun skills. Just make cities non instanced again.

Oblivion also has points for stopping time during conversations, and not having to sit through a animation every time you wanted to do something, now if the series could reclaim those lost arts along with Morrowind’s not having shops close and NPCs staying fucking put, we could truly know brighter days,

Honestly, time passing while talking isn’t an issue unless there’s some bad timing, and the “cutscenes” are just NPCs talking to each other. And shops being closed at night and NPCs having better things to do than just standing in a set place makes the world feel more lively. It also prevents NPCs from dying due to Morrowind moving them slightly every time you load an area.
