Literally anything you can do in sci-fi you can do in fantasy and vice-versa. They’re not genres specifically but aesthetics, modifiers to the genre really.

Not really. Most good sci-fi try to be scientific to some degree. Star Wars Force is practically magic. D&D has the Spelljammer setting, which is fantasy in space. It’s not sci-fi, but still has space ships and aliens.

I’m sorry but this only works as an distinctive argument over a sub-sect of the aesthetic where you apply the “low-” modifier to Science Fiction or Fantasy. Because even you slap the veneer of scientific reasoning or vocabulary onto what you do in science fiction, it’s still essentially magic. Once you get into the territory of “low-” you are intentionally stripping away the fantastical reasoning of Star Trek to become The Martian, which is intentionally grounded in contemporary understandings of its scientific veneer to write a setting understood as probable

I mean the name of “Super Mutants” in a vacuum doesn’t make sense unless you know that they have strength advantages when specifically compared to Humans, Ghouls, and any other humanoid species.

Why couldn’t they be called “Goliaths”, “Bigfoots”, or “Muscle Men” instead?

Machinedramon is also very cool.

Some madlad is suing Namco because Elden Ring is too hard, and he claims there is some sort of “hidden game” in all of FromSoft games that people can’t access because of difficulty.

Now, I’m a pretty casual scrub, but I’ve definitely found Elden Ring to be easier overall. Spirit Ashes alone make the game far easier than previous Soulslikes, and the ability to actually grind.

Beat Godrick on my second try with 0 min-maxing. Wolf spirit ashes kept him busy while I smashed his face in with magical rocks, still had half my flasks left afterwards.

IDK if it’s easier but it’s definitely cleaner overall than ds1 way less cheap shit, though still has problems like revenants and the bell bearing hunter, but the bosses are miles better in the end, like of all the Uber bosses I have fought in gaming Malenia is the best hands down,

Yeah even I noticed the game is a bit easier. I think I beat not many bosses but I beat some of the bosses.

The ability to grind helps a lot. Whenever I hit any resistance, I just wander off, smash some giants or do a mini dungeon, and then wander on back and wreck shit.

Dark Souls 1 will always be the best Souls game in my eyes. Elden Ring is a good game but there’s something about the original DS1 that no fromsoft game has managed to replicate since, with the exception of maybe Sekiro.

Civ 7 will have a gameplay revealed trailer on the 20 apparently.

Remember the Deadpool game? It’d be great if Marvel re-released the game for newer consoles.

This would be the third time I get a Civ game after the next one comes out.
