At least the first World game gives you a free ultimate with Numemon and can reverse a Sukamon. Here in Cyber Sleuth they are just stepping stones for other, more useful Digimon.
Incidentally my first ultimate here is a Monzaemon achieved through a Numemon. Just like it was 20 years ago in World.
It just dawn on me that you played DW1. Next Order takes after that game if you are ever interested (likely some time after CS/HM).

I still have the disk! But I don’t have a PS1 or 2 anymore. Shame because I’ve been wanting to try it again.
But yeah, playing a game like that when you were still learning how to read was probably doomed to failure. Barely made progress, andI never got any Ultimates besides Monzaemon and well that one’s practically a gimme.
As for Next Order, I know it’s the actual sequel to World 1. I’ve been holding off on grabbing it since I don’t know how much of the charm of the original was ironed out alongside the jank.

Not knowing how to read might have helped you, since it was a very poor translation.
I’d call it an indirect sequel. Quite different tone-wise, though a similar story with more humans than the player character. And better CGI. I still see the kid in my nightmares.

In typical imperial British fashion, Fallout: London will take over your Fallout 4 installation. Installing Fallout: London will make irreversible changes to the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition installation. You’ll also need to disable cloud saves (as the save folder is shared between the game and the mod). If you’d like to play the default Fallout 4: GOTY Edition again, you’ll need to uninstall the game and the mod, and then reinstall Fallout 4: GOTY Edition.
Kinda a bummer the hoops to jump through for this to work. But on the other hand I respect the British Empire meme.

One thing I noticed is that fantasy and science fiction have memetically speciated… it’s not just me, is it?
In pulp fiction terms Science Fiction and Fantasy are practically the same in genre. They’re just similar in terms of aesthetics. There’s a reason that SciFi and Fantasy are often lumped in the same section of book stores: there’s really not a lot different between Lord of the Rings and Star Wars except one uses flying vehicles and the other uses horses.
Thus, Warhammer 40k can carry on basically unquestioned about why it uses all the same races as Warhammer
