Considering how crazy the game’s other fighters could be, that sounds fun. Particularly if she’s in Donkey Kong’s place as the game’s final challenge.

Little Mac’s main advantage is his speed, so imagine how fast a smaller fighter like Peach would be in comparison. I imagine people saying she’s so fast the game must be cheating you.

Apparently Boon on wanted either most if not all of the cast voiced by celebrities.

Now, while MK is a very profitable series, I doubt the budget could handle it. Also there’s the whole Megan Fox Nitara showing why that’s not a good idea.

I mean NRS has had celebrities voice act in their games before (Injustice had Stephen Amile as a skin for Green Arrow, Carl Weathers voiced Jax for the Predator skin pack dlc, Robert England was Scarecrow in Injustice 2, and mk 11 had a whole bunch of celebrity voices), and they were received pretty well by the fanbase (apart from Ronda Rousey as Sonya in 11 and Megan Fox as Nitara, they seem to be the exception)

But yeah I don’t think a whole game with celebrities voicing the whole case would be possible even with how big the series is

The problem is the budget.

I’m pretty sure WB is still in charge of the budget for the game too.

I feel like MK11 went a little too far on the opposite direction.

In contrast to 9, where every female was dressed like a stripper for some weird reason, everyone in base 11 dressed like they were in a poorly edited 4Kids/Saban dub. It wasn’t too bad for characters like Sonya or Katana, since their outfits actually suited the characters far more than the ones they’ve had in the past, but then you get to Skarlet, who’s dressed like a red nun for some odd reason.

I appreciate that they wanted to go with outfits that weren’t just there to make male gamers go hog-wild over the female characters, but they already achieved that balance with X, and they did it to a different extreme with 11. They did later release DLC characters and costumes that went with the MKX approach of designing the outfit based on the characters personality, so that’s fine enough.

Weird thing about Dark Fall: The Journal; You need to create a folder to store your saves. I don’t know if it’s an old game thing or what.

Were they free or paid DLC? If it’s the latter, than it sounds like they wanted an excuse to sell the “good” skins as DLC. And you say that like people aren’t way too horny for nuns.

The DLC costumes Penguin was referring to were the “klassic” costumes the female characters wore back during the first 3 games of the series (back when all the female ninjas just wore leotards and high heel boots), and the klassic costumes have always been DLC for the NRS era games for the characters, not “cut content”

Also Sonya’s klassic outfit was base game in MK 11

Skarlet was just fixing a flaw in the original, she’s not a ninja she’s a sorceress who acts as an assassin, it makes a ton of sense to give her an outfit that brings that out better,

There were also costumes based off of DC (the one that made Cassie and Baraka look like Harley and Killer Croc respectively) and the OG MK movies. And like I said, DLC characters like Millena and Sindel were a lot closer to X in terms of design sensibilities than 11 was.

IIRC Skarlet doesn’t even need to drink blood. All she needs is someone’s blood to make contact with her body/skin and she’s already absorbing it.

Skarlet is to blood what Ermac is to souls.

With a mix of being a bloodbender.

10/12 symbols collected. I should be able to finish Dark Fall: The Journal tomorrow.

No she isn’t, she’s a random orphan Shao taught blood magic to to make a sort of hybrid kitana/mileena assassin shang tsung sorcerer but with a built in timer as it’s implied blood magic is eventually fatal despite it’s incredible power,

Yeah she was born a meatbag but ain’t she now a blood golem?

I thought the (admittedly small) lore we got fir her in MK9 was that she was a being made out of the blood of fallen assassins/warriors?

Then somewhere between 9 and 11 her backstory got retconned to her being a human orphan who knew blood magic
