got my hands on and played a bit of mario golf superstars and I’m honestly bewildered how toadstool tour a mario golf game that’s 20 years old tomorrow somehow has better graphics, mechanics and UI.

Remember that NSMBWii was the first Mario game to outsell the original. This was simply because the Wii became a top 5 best seller, but it definitely skewed Nintendo’s view.

Want to know what makes it even worst? If you are on hardcore mode, the game treats disconnects as death. Someone lost a level 82 barbarian because of a server DC while streaming with the chat still live.

Want to know how unpolished Dead Island is? The fifth character who’s DLC doesn’t say a word when you hover over them. The other four give their life story, but this guy doesn’t say a peep.

I reached player level 100 and got the Scale Brigade Armor in DRG.

Super Mario Maker 2 did not deserve to be dumped quickly by Nintendo. But they did kinda shoot themselves in the foot by removing the Mystery Mushroom costumes along with the silly little things you can do in Mario Maker like mess around with the title screen.

Is that why the setting for almost every Mario game after NSMBWii using the same aesthetics for the Mushroom Kingdom? They really thought that look would guarantee stronger sales for most Mario games? Oh those sweet sweet summer children.

I believe so. But as much as Pikmin 2 compares an executive’s desk to a lemon juicer, money always talks in the end.

I wouldn’t know. But Wonder seems to suggest they’ve picked up on New being old hat.

The NSMB series was also mishandled with their releases which I also believe is why some people consider them bad games.
