Alright, let’s lay this down a bit. Bethesda is compromised of the following developers…

-Bethesda Game Studios (Elder Scrolls and Fallout)
-Arkane Studios (Dishonored and Deathloop)
-MachineGames (modern Wolfenstein)
-id Software (Doom and classic Wolfenstein)
-Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within and Hi-Fi Rush)
-Zenimax Online Studios (Elder Scrolls Online)

So yes, there are multiple Studios under Bethesda, but only one of them ever actually works on the open world RPGs.

People think the trailer looks too good for it to be actual gameplay, something we have been burned on before. That’s the reason for the downvotes (and it was a very small snippet of said gameplay with 98% being a trailer for the game made in the game’s engine).

I pray the player character options are Normal Norman or Daily Daisy. Just some guy/gal who you wouldn’t notice unless they are forced to do something.

Just because Sidon gets married to a babe in Tears of the Kingdom doesn’t mean we know what was really going on during this scene.

FF 16 has around 20 hour and 20 minutes of cutscenes, give or take.

I have over 30 games in my Backlog right now that I’m trying to get done before the next Mario and Sonic games come this holiday season. Why do I feel that by the time those games come out, my Backlog will continue growing instead of decreasing with the amount of games that have yet to be played/beaten/completed?

I was gonna “imma watch a Final Fantasy 16 movie tonight why not”

Starfield btw will feature a robot that calls you by the name you input in character creation.

Let’s see how it is. I’m calling BS. Unless the robot is programmed to chain syllables like what you hear in Machinima videos and Text2Speech then the robot would probably only have the most common names.

I don’t like that. I’d rather they use Text2Speech so I can hear the robot say “Hello Tehwatever” even if it sounds wrong and totally unnatural.

Also I expect to see footage trying to get the robot to say the N word because ofc.

Took a list of a bunch of common first/last names (along with the names of a few fictional characters/joke names) and had the VA record dialogue mentioning each name

Codsworth had a list of 100 or so pre-recorded names. As in, they literally had the voice actor record the same line/[Insert Name Here] over a hundred times.

Tehwhatever makes it sound like Starfield will just have a character use a Text2Speech program instead of an voice actor.

The other way around. I’m saying they most likely will revisit the Codsworth mechanic with pre-recorded names.

I don’t want that. I want Text2Speech because with it, you can have the robot say whatever name you input, albeit in a very mechanical and unnatural manner.

Codsworth does NOT have Tehwatever as a viable name. If he was Text2Speech then he probably would be able to say it.

If a feature like that was implemented, it would probably be completely broken, as is the Bethesda standard these days.

We all know VG these days especially open world RPGs are for content creation anyway. Ain’t that right, Cyberpunk 2077?

Who knows maybe Starfield will get an anime 2 years after its release and it will make ppl revisit the game just to make anime references.
