Remember that goofy general from the age of magic? He gets Chrono and Marle killed off screen by giving out a bunch of weapons to some random kingdom that wasn’t in the first game, it also introduced a near kingdom hearts level of convoluted shit, and absolutely revels in saying the heroes of the first game made everything suck by changing the timeline,

Not a fan of it either so far.

Dalton? Well he does mention in a bonus dungeon that he plans to raise an army from Porre, which is a town we visit in Trigger.

Although I’m lead to believe the bonus content comes from a later version of Trigger that came out after Cross already did.

Yes it’s constantly being changed so the old fuck can ruin anyone enjoying it, just more proof alongside RWBY miraculous ladybug and kingdom hearts ECT that creators shouldn’t be given complete free reign over shit,

I look forward to a day where a creator of a beloved title with millions of fans to suddenly stop writing and completely open source the story to the fans, and that the fans will decide what is and isn’t canon.

I mean, if we already can have player driven politics and economy in MMO, I don’t see how a fans driven canon events are impossible.

Like if a creator kills off a character and the fans make a story about side characters collecting the Dragon Balls to rez said dead characters and it becomes canon, great. But then later, other fans write stories about OC assassins killing that character after being resurrected and now they’re dead again, and is canon.

I mean they have a tier system for what official stories are and aren’t “canon” that is mostly “do I like this story? 100000% cannon!!!! Do I not? It’s just official fanfic and is a bigger lie than me saying my parents loved me!”

I might be able to knock out the other 6 today, if not tomorrow. And luckily Control just went on sale so hey. I can try that next.

I love Alan Wake but I’m not sure if I love it to the level of “buy a half dozen games vaguely connected to Alan Wake”.

What’s one character that’s supposed to be an ally, or a friendly, but who is written in such a way as to be contemptible or otherwise hateable.

For me, Delphine from Skyrim exemplifies that.

A character the story insists we are supposed to like, but who is so pants-on-head stupid, annoying, and downright awful that you just want to shout her off the nearest cliff.

I find it funny that DA:I has it where everyone loves the gay guy but hates the gay gal. I’d assume it’s usually the other way around.

I really wanted to like Sera, but damn was she just so….errggg.

Cassandra was the best fem bea there. Though I have a thing for steely women named Cassandra, what with me marrying one.

As for snarky Scottish elf lesbian, thankfully Fat Shark has us covered with Kerillian. I’d rather listen to her call me a lumberfoot for an hour then listen to 5 minutes of Sera’s nagging. She’s not a lesbian, given her obvious hots for Kruber, but she is snarky and Scottish.

I knew Chrono Trigger was a bit on the short side the first playthrough. But man, avoiding battles and oneshotting both mooks and bosses has me blasting through.

Also fighting Lavos is getting really boring. He was a mildly tense fight the first time around, but now every time I get to the point where I have to trigger his fight I just lean on him hand and think “time to blast through this multi-stage boss rush in like 7 minutes”.
